  • Ben Gordon

@WojYahooNBA: Charlotte is engaged in contract buyout discussions with Ben Gordon, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

I feel like it would be a good pick up for the bench unit. Finally be able to go 10 deep. Help rest some legs for the post season.

No thanks. Never been a great team player. A chucker undersized SG....

      No.

Josh Smith and now Ben Gordon? Thank god you're not the GM of this team.

What did BG do to get a bad rap like this?

Yes, but strictly in a second unit, bench type of role. Especially, if Casey insists on playing Chuck Hayes, then you need a guy like Gordon to balance the USG on offense. And it goes without saying that his contract would expire at the end of the season.

My initial reaction is what are you thinking....then I think about the loss to Chicago, and yeah BG would have been a better option over DeMar with the game on the line because he use to be so clutch at the end of games for Chicago back in the day when he played there. Great one on one guy that can go iso with good defenders on him. But still, the strength of this teams offense is sharing the ball. Another iso guy like Gay would be counter productive especially now that BG has past his prime. Personally I would pass on him.

You can never have enough shooters.

He shoots 35% from the feild and 28% from three. He's not a good shooter, he is/was a clutch shooter. Not shitting on your thread, just not a fan of the idea.

I think Gordon could be really good for this team off the bench, but I worry that Casey would lean on him too much, similar to Alan Anderson, and we'd see Gordon in all situations and getting 30+ min and showing up at the end of games.

If you could combine Gordon at his best and Fields at his healthiest, that would be one hell of a player! As it stands, I'd pass on all these washed-up has-beens that are getting released (ie: Gordon, Villanueva).

A Bulls Ben Gordon would be nice. But not a Pistons/Bobcats Ben Gordon.

This. Casey would be like "gotta rely on the vets", and never play the young guys who are 100x better than Gordon

Gordon is currently a massively negative player. ORAT = 80...which is awful

The raptors will be much worse with him on the floor, so yes, it could hurt come playoff time.
