  • Game #14: Toronto Raptors 102 - Los Angeles Lakers 91

    Starting Lineups:

    Raptors

    PG - Kyle Lowry
    SG - DeMar DeRozan
    SF - DeMarre Carroll
    PF - Luis Scola
    C - Jonas Valanciunas

    Lakers

    PG - D'Angelo Russell
    SG - Kobe Bryant?
    SF - Metta World Peace
    PF - Julius Randle
    C - Roy Hibbert

    Game Notes:
    • The Toronto Raptors have lost their last 3 games and look to bounce back against the Los Angeles Lakers.
    • The Raptors have struggled with their offense thus far in the season, failing to manufacture shots from good ball movement. They had 14 assists against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
    • Kobe Bryant sat out the Lakers' previous game against the Phoenix Suns for rest, he is averaging 16.9 points this season on 33.6% shooting.
    • 2014-2015 Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams faces his former team for the first time since signing with the Lakers. He averages 12.9 points on 32.7% field goal percentage.
    • Closing games has been an issue for the Toronto Raptors during the past few games as they are 0-3 for their current road trip. Consistent defense and smarter shot selection can help prevent these collapses from happening again.

Yay! Let's continue the pattern of the past 8 games! Lose against every team that remotely resembles NBA talent, and win against the Pelicans, Sixers and Lakers!

I kind of see a loss here. Kobe will get it going against demars lack of defense as artest will force carroll to guard him.

And demar always goes hero mode in la...then lowry will follow suit, jv will be ignored...

Kind of hoping for a loss because there is no reason we should. Hopefully that would spark a change.

Want to see D'Angelo play...he has some potential

Byron Scott doesnt play him in the fourth tho lol

So nice seeing the Lakers being a mess of a franchise

Nah, we got this. Consmap made solid thread!

But seriously, how will Artest force Carroll to guard him?

I think we win. But if we lose, it's almost certainly going to be a the hands of some Lou Williams late game heroics.
