The relationship between former friends and teammates LeBron James and Daniel Gibson took another hit on Saturday night, according to sources.

It began at a birthday party for Gibson on Friday night. During the event, two witnesses told ESPN.com that Gibson made a reference to being the new king of Cleveland during a toast.

According to a source close to Gibson, James became upset upon hearing about the claim. The source said James and Gibson later resolved the issue because Gibson didn't mean to insult James.

However, the issue wasn't resolved before the two engaged in a war of words on Twitter.

seriously though, a "war of words" on twitter is a bit ridiculous. any serious argument i've ever gotten into in my life, couldn't be restrained to 140 characters at a time.... that would barely cover the amount of "CU#T" and "DUMB B|TCH"es that i need to drop to get my point across.
