  • Wiggins been pretty underwhelming, so I'm hoping for a breakout game sooner or later. He doesn't have to put up monster numbers every game, but a tease here and there would be nice

    • Checking Ennis out, looks like a good Canadian prospect. Draft Express has him ranked at 50, and then NBAdraft.net has his 12. He's looking pretty good in the N.C. game. Pass first guy, who seems not to force his game.

Who at will be available at the 19th pick (our current position)? Hopefully there is a decent 3 available, or a decent pg, who we can groom. One player that I really like is Rodney Hood, who has dropped from the top ten on most draft boards. He is a player I would be interested in moving up to take. But I would like to hear everyone else's opinion on who would be available from 18-22.
Hood is going to be a top 10 pick. Worst case scenario top 12.

Ennis could be available in the 15-20 range. Dario Saric, TJ Warren, Kyle Anderson(not a fan), maybe even Doug McDermott.

I would say this is the most accurate mock draft that i have seen (of course only my opinion.)

          • The top 14 I'm happy with any one of them ... after that its hit and miss for me (see article above.) but if we have a lottery pick its hard to go wrong in my books.

            • Kentucky-Vandy right now. Andrew Harrison is another possible mid-first rounder.

There's talk of Embiid going #1 now? WTF
It raises a couple of questions for me:

                1. Where was Emiid ranked prior to the season? Was he even ranked in the lottery?

                2. What does it say about the hype of "5-6 franchise players", based on high school performances, when a guy with 3 years of basketball experience, goes from way down on the ranking, to leap frog over all of them after 15 games of college ball? Maybe the class isn't quite as strong as all the early hype? Just wondering.

                • Embiid has been ranked very highly since before the season. He isn't some random kid outplaying overhyped prospects. He has been the best C prospect in the draft since the summer, and has been considered one of those "franchise players" for quite a while now.

                  • Ennis didn't shoot terribly well today -- Grant and CJ Fair were solid. But wow, I've never seen a point guard that young, have so much control of a game. The way he split a screen on the left side of the perimeter so effortlessly...There's a lot there.

Really liked Wiggins game today, particularly that run in the second half with multiple 3 pointers, a couple rebounds and that dunk. Sort of wish he was a bit more comfortable with contact going up. He seems fine banging down low for rebounds... Good to see him start to turn things up. This is the first Kansas game that I've seen that he completely outclassed Embiid. Their 3rd freshman looked good too.

That Iowa State point guard, I hope he's alright. He's definitely a prospect worth following. and that power forward Shaq (from Memphis) had an eye opening day. Good day of basketball for sure.

Ennis needs to work on his scoring a bit, but his shooting (in terms of outside shot/jumper) is quite solid. Not always dropping, but it also doesn't limit his effectiveness as a PG. He really makes that team go. He is that ideal PG in the sense of being able to control the flow of the game, make mostly good decisions, and be that sort of PG who's like a coach on the floor. I'm really high on him.

I doubt Grant's ability to transition to the NBA. Seems like a hustle player to me and doesn't have much else to offer in terms of skills. Might be a D/rebounding specialist though. And for Fair I'm not sure he's anything special in terms of a prospect.

Wiggins played a good game today. He needs some counters. He has a smooth shot, a great first step and can explode...but if he's cut off he still needs some other ways to finish, or to create better for others. I like that he does seem to try and play within the team...Also it's definitely not the first time I've seen him outclass Embiid, but the first time since some of their earlier games. The last little while Embiid had some good games.

I haven't seen the kids from Iowa state or Memphis.

                      • Iowa State plays Kansas on Monday (I think). If their PG is healthy, that will be a really good one to watch.

Because the Raps are winning. If they were ****ing i bet you'd say this is the greatest draft class ever lol.

Anyway, nothing really much has changed. The top prospects in this draft(Wiggins, Embiid, Parker, Exum, Randle, Smart) are all going to be studs IMO.
