  • I really like Kyle Anderson and Adreian Payne but both of them look to be such bad defenders. Especially Kyle. He is extremely slow and unathletic. I don't see him being able to keep anyone in front of him at all. Adreian looks like he has the potential to become a good defender. His issue is more focus on that end than anything else.
I relish negativity and disappointment. It is not healthy. Somebody buy me a pony.

        Payne = Patrick Patterson
Anderson = 6'9 Greivis Vasquez minus the cajones

            • Alright so I'm bored today so I thought I would throw down my draft picks in tiers for the top 30 guys (draftexpress)

Tier 1: Superstar potential. Complete skill sets. Elite impact players
Tier 2: Potential all-star. High impact players.
Tier 3: Borderline all-stars. These guys are the league sleepers who should have solid, long careers. Moderate impact players.
Tier 4: Solid 2 way players that are inefficient in high-usage roles, but are a big plus as a defender. Bust potential low. Moderate impact players
Tier 5: Physical specimen with tons of potential or has extremely intriguing skill set. Could potentially be complete players but may also be complete busts. Major projects. "Unknowns" tier. (basically here is where I place guys I have no idea about, even though some I am very high on)
Tier 6: Specialists. One-sided players, may stick around the league for offense or defense. Impact is low. Bust potential moderate.
Tier 7: Struggles to find a spot in the league. Tweeners or majorly flawed. Bust potential high

              Tier 1:
              Wiggins, Embiid

              Tier 2:
              Parker, Exum, Vonleh,

              Tier 3:
              Hood, Napier, Stauskas, Ennis, Harris,

              Tier 4:
              Smart, Payton, Robinson III, McDaniels

              Tier 5: "Unknowns"
              LaVine, Gordon, Saric, Capela, Grant

              Tier 6:
              McDermott, Young, McGary, Adams

              Tier 7:
              Nurkic, Warren, Porzingis, Payne

              Hard to place:
Hairston - Somewhere between tier 3 and 4.

seems like you have alot of time on your hands buddy! first the demar to chi town now this

I totally agree with you here though. But I would put parker into the 1st tier. That dude is carmelo anthony 2.0. Not good enough to carry a team to the promised land while being to selfish and ball dominate to play with other stars to enter the promised land.

                    +1

Gave Kentucky 20 points 10 rebounds 8-12 FG. Did that on Randle and Cauley-Stein. That's an NBA front court 1/18/14

Lol it has been an extremely slow day

Parker does have Anthony 2.0 written all over him, which is exactly why I have him in Tier 2. Melo is very good, but he isn't a superstar, he lacks the defensive ability and the unselfishness that is required for him to be a superstar. Now, Parker may become that superstar eventually, but from what we saw from him in college it isn't looking like he will be anything more than a Melo, who is not a superstar.

I agree. I didn't put him in because he wasn't in the DX top 30

Potentially yes. I feel like it would take quite a bit for Nurkic to turn into Gasol, or Payne into Milsap...they probably end up the Lite version

Yeah I wouldn't want to draft him at 20, there are much better prospects

I would love to get him at 37

Payne is way better than you give him credit for. He's not a tweener at all, dude is a legit 6'10" with range and a developing post game.
