stashing an american player... genius.
Masai got General Vasquez balls. ok.. I guess... Only time will tell
I just hope he keeps growing.. that would be awesome. Already has a 7'7 wingspan, Walter Tavares has a 7'9 wingspan and he's like 7'2

Bruno has a longer wingspan than Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan. Think about that for a minute.
I think MU made a great decision, we finally have someone who can guard guys like Joe Johnson, LeBron, Durant, all he needs is to add some strength, even though that long wingspan will help him recover on his lapses a lot

Vegas has a TON of buffets just throwing that out there
so wait, what happened with Thames? traded to the nets? anyone know what we got for him?
Based on Masai and Casey's interviews, they were primarily targetting Ennis and Bruno, which is why there was a rumour of acquiring Memphis's 22nd pick (Ennis at 20, Bruno at 22). I thought it was Capela that was gonna be drafted. And based on my reactions from the previous drafts (Demar in 2009 - wanted Jennings, Jonas in 2011 - wanted Kemba/Brandon Knight, Ross in 2012 - wanted Austin Rivers/Jeremy Lamb/Andre Drummond), there's a reason why they're the GM and we're not (Although a JV/Drummond frontcourt would have been sick lol).
I really liked what Masai and Casey said about the other kids being more polished but have a lower ceiling due to them being a product of a system (NCAA), but other players (like Bruno) may not be as polished yet but once developed could be very dangerous players. Masai started out as a scout, with a specialty in international players, so he knows what he's doing. Those American commentators are just being ignorant cuz they don't know shit. And we all know that Masai operates on stealth mode. Even Adrian Wojnarowski has no clue what Masai's moves are!
I'm more disappointed that they traded the 59th pick to Brooklyn of all teams. I thought Masai said, "Fuck Brooklyn!"
thames seems like he's going to be a halfway decent player, too bad. we do have a dozen point guards though.
Caboclo is the Giannis Antetokounmpo of the draft. He is a mix of a few players (Peja/Gallo/Ginobli) comes to mind for me via videos) and I think he'll be more ready then people think. I feel like he'll need to adapt, but if he can do that in the Summer League and Training Camp, he may get a good shot here. I can't wait to see him play and maybe he'll end the year starting or as our 6th/7th man.
I really want to see Bruno play in the summer league.
The name's Bond, James Bond.
You have the greatest quote by the way
Anyway, we should be happy that no one knows about Bruno. It just means that the expectations are low and he can come in and grow with DC and the rest of the staff.
We weren't supposed to get much better last night anyway. Why not swing for the fences at pick #20? There are not that many late first rounders or second round picks that will end up making us much better.
What I don't get is why people are so quick to criticize people who think differently. We have over 30 years of historical draft data showing the results of late first rounders and second round picks. Most of them are barely role players over the course of their career.
If you think like these other GM's, you will have the same results. At least Bruno offers the distinct possibility of being a winner, instead of picking Shabbaz napier who we know will be like Kemba.
People want to feel better about themselves, so they pick some thing that they know, but by doing that, they put a cap on how good they can be.
SO, we may be worse, but at least we had a chance to be better, instead of fooling ourselves like most teams are doing right now
