Marco works on his mechanics with Hopla whenever he's with the team. There is another article (I can't find) that discusses the coaches work with Beli to keep his head level when he shoots. Lately, he's reverted to tilting his head back as he releases his shot, which is likely why he's been cold.

There's a difference between shot-mechanics (what Hopla is teaching him) and shot-selection (which Triano should emphasize much more). When he's open and has his feet set or is getting his points in a "normal way" he's a great shooter, but when he tries to do his Rex Chapman impersonation he gets in trouble.

If Jay's not talking/coaching Marco on improving his shot selection, than the Assistant coaches should be.

Since Jay said he wasn't (helping Marco), hopefully Alex English is.

What's happened to Marco? Here's our answer:

"We’ve been very good with being ready to play when guys get an opportunity. Marco Belinelli is a perfect example. He hasn’t played in two of the last three games. He hasn’t done anything wrong, it’s just a matter of, I thought our first game back we lacked energy so we went with Sonny and then match up problems, sometimes he doesn’t get in. He could play major minutes against Portland on Wednesday and could be a key factor in our game on Friday. Everybody has got to stay ready at all times and that’s part of being a professional.”
