Why toronto does this: to get the 2014 first rounder. that's literally it. Nash probably never actually plays as a raptor as he retires some time this year. joins head office. Canadians jizz themselves.
Why LA does this: to get out of Nash's contract. Even with Nash, they're going to have TONS of cap space. Take Steve out and they'll have enough to sign a max deal and a bunch of solid deals for proven talent.
