  • TNT--'Best in the East Jan 2014' Brooklyn 4-0. NYK 3-1. Hey what about Raptors?

The TNT game tonight is lauding the two NY basketball teams. It would be nice if the Raptors were mentioned. This is why winning games against Miami and Indiana are so important as most casual fans are unaware of Raps recent success. Hopefully our players can use this as motivation moving forward.

Well they haven't been the best in January...they're 3-2...It's just a stupid graphic so that the broadcast can say something good about the NY teams.

Lool why are you surprised that they pay no attention to the raps and talk about the NYK and Nets? Nobody will care about us until we start competing for NBA championship's

Or you know it could be because Knicks and Nets have the best records in the NBA in January and Raptors do not. Raptors got media attention for their success and the media has moved on to the next trend in New York. Why talk about a team thats been playing well for a while and is 3-2 in January when you can talk about teams that have been shit all year and are now the 2 best teams in January? Portland is no longer talked about all the time and neither is the Raptors. Doesn't mean they don't notice us.

Was watching the "Starters" on NBAtv this evening (the 2 main hosts are TO guys I believe) who had a q&a on who the most improved second year player was. Ross got a honorable mention after the 4 panelists chose their picks. Could not believe JV wasnt picked or mentioned by anyone (Drummond was). Boo.

Are you saying we might end up being 7 or 8 in the east and lose in the first round while not getting a lottery pick ??!!!

Lottery is only for non-playoff teams.

well JV hasn't really improved all that much statistically, so i don't see why he would be picked. he even gets to the line less than he did last year somehow. ross's stats have literally almost doubled across the board

It could be because both Knicks and Nets are further east than Toronto
