  • Toronto FC (Defoe and Bradley arrival)

Huge acquisitions for Toronto FC. Now that they are actually a thing, I figured there should be a thread for them.

Personally haven't watched them much due to their extreme suckage, but I enjoy watching MEANINGFUL soccer games, and this is a team I could get behind.

So this guy is a big deal eh?

Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe was persuaded to make his big move across the Atlantic by superstar rapper Drake.

Defoe is expected to complete a £5million move to Toronto FC, who are managed by former Spurs defender Ryan Nelsen, next week.

And a phone call from Toronto-born Drake helped seal Defoe's deal to quit the Barclays Premier League for the MLS.

Drake is a huge fan of his city's sports teams and is a global ambassador for NBA side Toronto Rapids.

He'll be great against MLS competition.

I kind of like Rapids better than Raptors, tbh.
