I still think he's more like Ray Allen than anybody else. Jesus Shuttleworth was also in the dunk contest in his rookie year. If he's a hybrid of T-Mac/Allen man we've got a gem.

He's pretty inconsistent... this is a guy who averages 10.6 but has only had 27 double-digit games

              Allen Houston.

However Ross won`t be compared to anyone if he can`t improve on the following areas: Be more aggrassive, get involved even if you don`t have the ball and be able to create your own shot while moving with the ball.

Agreed, but he's been trending upwards since the Gay trade. He's doing what he's doing, despite being fairly raw on both ends of the floor. It doesn't seem like he's even close to his ceiling yet.

And he's definitely come a long way since last season where most were crying for Andre Drummond.

How many years did it take for Paul George to develop into what he is today? I don't see why Ross can't develop into something along the lines of DeRozan but with a 3 point shot maybe replacing some of the midrange. Be can already get to the hoop and once he adds some weight and improves his handles he'll do it more often.

So if we can agree he'll at least be within shouting distance offensively of DD, you factor in his better than average defence now with potential elite defence in the future, don't you at least get close to George?
Sunny ways my friends, sunny ways
                  Because its 2015

What? He averages 10 points, and gets more than 10 points in roughly half his games? Why is that inconsistent? That falls exactly in line with what you'd expect.

I guess he's inconsistent in terms of perception. You never know if he's going to score 8pts, 20pts, or 50pts

Yes, but more in the sense that it's a very wide range that averages out to 10.

Consider this stretch of games for example:

Points are third-last column. Just look at the gaps.

Nilanka said it too, you never really know what Ross you're gonna get on a given night.

Trade DeRozan for a big "meatier" small forward? Are you guys forgetting Landry Fields????

                          your pal,

                            Because he's not getting boxscores like 8, 12, 8, 14, 10... his scores are more like 2, 6, 20, 16, etc etc

I completely agree he is inconsistent. I was just pointing out that the way the poster presented that was entirely wrong and did not support the "inconsistent" argument.
