They should look for a center. A 3 team deal with Detroit, Milwaukee or Houston? They get Monroe, Sanders or Asik. Not sure there's something in that for Toronto.

A) I'd bet he ends up with a 4 year deal, at least, not a 3 year deal.
B) I'd peg 8M per year as his absolute minimum.

Uncle_Si wrote: View PostWe could always front load any deal for Lowry too. Say the deal is for 4 years 32million. I wouldn't pay him 8 each year but something along the lines of 10,8,8,6 would make sense. Makes him easier to move if required when he's older and we save 2 million in salary when we are hopefully in buy mode.

magoon wrote: View PostWe need a backup centre, not a starter who's going to get pissed when Jonas gets minutes. Chris Kaman is probably our best bet, and if the Lakers manage to trade Pau Gasol like they want to do then we can probably get Kaman off the Lakers for cash and/or Dwight Buycks because at that point they're out of luxury tax territory (and more importantly, the repeater tax)."Bruno?
Heh, if he is in the D-league still in a few years I will be surprised.
He's terrible."

Anyways:
Houston sends: Jeremy Lin, Donatas Motiejunas, and Robert Covington
Toronto sends: Steve Novak, Greivis Vasquez, Tyler Hansbrough and Austin Daye
Houston gets rid of Lin's poison-pill contract and picks up Vasquez, the original Mr. Assist, for a team that's fifth-last in assist rate in the NBA and needs a pass-first PG desperately, plus they get Hansbrough (a foul-drawing specialist big) and two shooters. Toronto gets the bench scorer they need who can work with Lowry much the same way Vasquez did, except Lin is better, as well as picking up D-Mo to replace Hansbrough and who should play well alongside Jonas.

A lot of NBA writers I really enjoy can't seem to shake the idea that Lowry is possibly on the move.
Is there a serious case of denial going on? Can they not adapt to new information/circumstances/situations?
Anyways, the latest is Sam Amico: http://msn.foxsports.com/ohio/story/...com:hoopsonfox
Or is it really where there is smoke there is fire?
