  • Should the Raptors try and acquire Tristan Thompson?

He's been pretty solid all season for Cleveland with rebounding & some points, and even though they already have Jonas for that, it would be nice to add a Canadian as a backup because Toronto's a Canadian team? Thoughts?

Back-up to who? Thompson is a power Forward, I think he still has room to grow offensively due to the fact that after 2 years in teh NBA he has changed his shooting hand. It has proven to pay off from teh freethrow line and he has gone from 60% to 69% in just one season of switching. If he can get his 15-17 foot jumper up to par, he would be a decent fit with Jonas....but he would not want to be playing as a back-up.

Tristan Thompson is good player, a solid talent that would look nice in a Raptors uniform but nationality should have no basis for employment in the NBA.

He's a solid PF and a sound rebounder. Honestly though, Im not sure if his skill set would be beneficial for our current rotation. He does not have a solid jump shot (yet), and his FT% is low(but improving.) Also, he doesn't seem to do much on the defensive end.

He has a lot of potential though.
I know this may be a bit controversial but I think the Raptors have proven that they're the best team in the NBA from Canada

He was a solid shot blocker as a rookie, but has totaly fallen off in years 2 and 3.

Why would he be better than 48 minutes of Johnson/Patterson? Especially since we'd have to give up an asset to get him

Anyone think Ejim will be able to cut it in the big league?
