      Salmons + hansborough+ Fields = Boozer plus 19

Your don't need to give up your 2 nd round picks. Chicago saves 8 million in salary cap with this deal

A completely pointless trade for the Bulls, they'd have some 5 mil in cap space which means they might as well keep midlevel.

Subjective statement on your part. Chicago opens 13 million and could actually sign Deng or Ariza , for the Sf that they require .
5 million dollar buys diddly squat for the SF.

There's nothing subjective there, you simply have your numbers wrong. Your trade doesn't give them 13 mil in cap space. It gives them some 5 mil.

Which is as good as nothing because they'd have to renounce midlevel to use it.

8 million of savings plus the 5 you claim existed = 13 million

I said they would have some 5 mil. Not they have 5 mil.

Chicago Bulls have committed 65 million for 2014/15 including the option of Shengalia .

If you remove the 16.8 for boozers salary and add the 6.2 for Fields salary. Additionally , if the bulls exercise the buyout for Salmons and Hansborough of 2 million dollars. The net effect for the bulls team salary would be a reduction of 8.6 million to a new amount 56.4 million.

Please note that the projected salary cap for 2014/15 is to be 63 million dollars and the luxury tax of 76.3 million as been presented by the NBA office.

Hope this clarifies why the bulls will want this type of deal.

Now you are getting closer, but you forgot their other 1st round pick and roster cap charges. Once you add those, they would have about 5 mil cap space.

5 mil is irrelevant. 5 mil means it's not even worth renouncing exceptions. This trade saves the owner some cash, that's it.

The 13.2 million in Cap Hold for the 8 players plus the first round pick, is not realistic, because you have 10 players already including Shengalia included in the salary cap.

So if you choose 5 of them excluding Hinrich, that fills your team out at 6 million including first round pick, and you are still less than the projected salary cap of 63 million dollars.

No I didnt forget and roster cap charges. Fortunately the average roster cap charge is $950,000 a player.

I don't understand what you are calculating here and what's the 13.2 mil. But roster charge will be slightly over 500k per spot.

There's a very good Larry Coon's guide that you can read if you want to learn about cap:

I understand. What Larry coons but using shamsports.com will aid in your numbers. What are you attributing your 2014/15 salary cap and luxury tax?
