    I'd rather have Harkless

I think Harkless is going to struggle . If not Harris would ask for Canadian content with Andrew Nicholson and a 2nd

Exactly my thought. I don't think Lowry stop playing harder.

His career is exactly along the line of Chauncey's.

        Raps
        It isn't playing hard.

Lowry will ALWAYS play hard, practice hard too.

It is the preparation to play hard: training, conditioning, and diet.

The preparation takes more will power and dedication than the playing.

And then we go on and sign Kevin Durant... Shorty after, Bill announces his retirement and call it a shit career.

          Raps
No, Bill writes a 5000 word essay on why Durant is the most overrated player of all-time.

            This is great news.

I guess there must have been a compromise on the 5th year with a 3rd year ETO.

Lowry can go for one last big pay day or he can take a guaranteed $12M.

What I'll be looking for on the first day of training camp: Lowry's weight.
If he is pudgy again and his chef is looking for work, #DupedByTheContractYear

Yeah that ETO can cut both ways. It effectively shortens the term based on performance. I like that Kyle took that up.
            Couple of thoughts
            1) he can score one more REALLY big deal if he plays well either by increasing the salary level or extending the term and if he regresses badly we have the 4 year deal. The term is a positive for both sides.
2)the ETO kinda lines him up with Demars contract year as well and they have the ability to elevate their games to the next level (playoff runs) to get themselves in posiiton for some serious coin. Not that 12M /Yr isn't serious
3)Kyle saw what being in shape meant. Didn't get an extended injury of 30 days or more on the sidelines this year, didn't have to take some parts of some games off to get a blow while on the court. Think we see him back in camp in shape and his eye on the next deal that gets him an extension of another 3 years at maybe 14M. Upside of 30M over a guaranteed 12M
There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

              He already looks pudgy
Somebody might already know this but when was this picture taken? Was it to celebrate his signing or is it from back during the season when we announced the throwback uniforms for next year?

                  Does he still have him?

I know he hired one last summer in preparation for last season i.e. his contract year.

That is kind of the point.

Is he taking the same dedication and commitment he showed last season forward?

IF so, I won't worry. But if he isn't doing the same things: #FearTheContractYear indeed.

Time will tell.... 3 months give or take a few days.

                    • For those who harbour thoughts we may have overpayed. Kyle looks good in this range. Its the 2014-15 Salary Scale for PG's. Framed against some other deals he looks like a bargooon ! Irving got 18M$ and on any given night Kyle has been his equal or better. Then there is that really bad deal for Deron Williams and equally as bad for Steph Curry. Williams is not value for that money and Curry under bid himself.

The only reason his contract is so low was because of the ankle injuries. He will be getting 18 Mill +
