  • Josh Smith calls Faried a "clown"

"I don't respond to nobody with dreadlocks who plays basketball," Smith said, referring to Faried's hairdo. "He's a clown, quote me on that."

"He knows it's coming, he knows, next time we play," Smith said. "In order to make those comments like that, you gotta be able to back it up and we'll see next time."

"I'll have some words while I'm busting his (behind). I back it up when I talk. It's gonna be a pretty good matchup."

"He fears me," Smith said. "He's scared of me, so, of course, he'll talk about me in the paper. He won't do it to me in my face. If you have to hide behind a microphone or smartphone, so be it. I don't mind."

"It's a lot of social media. I'm an older guy, I'm not on social media, Twitter, Instagram. It's a lot of media thugs and Instagram gangstas, I would classify him in one of those categories."

He should be careful who he calls a clown, they can be dangerous...

A mayor in the south of France has banned clown disguises for a month, starting on Halloween, after several violent incidents involving teenagers dressed as clowns.

The ban is in force in Vendargues, a small town near Montpellier.

A decree from Mayor Pierre Dudieuzere said the immediate aim was to prevent any trouble during a Halloween parade on Friday evening.

France has seen several assaults recently by youths in clown costumes.

In Vendargues, a town with about 6,000 residents, everyone aged 13 or above is now banned from wearing a clown costume or simply wearing clown make-up.

This month French police have arrested more than a dozen teenagers dressed as clowns with weapons, who were frightening passers-by or in some cases beating people up.

The incidents appeared to be fuelled by a clown craze on social media.

                  Which he basically did.

This whole thing is hilarious. Smith is maybe the biggest "clown" in the league, as long as we're talking assclowns. If I wanted to show a young player what NOT to do with their talent, I'd play them tapes of Smith, especially offensively.

So far Detroit is dysfunctional circus of a team coached by a guy dead ringer for a famous male porn star.

Josh smith has been shooting his team out of games for a couple years. He defies coaching strategy and svg is gonna tire if him reeeal quick. Scraptor was arguing with me that he's better than kyle korver, lol. Maybe in 2007.

I still hold that Josh Smith is going to have a more productive year than Korver. I'm still open to a PER bet for the regular season (whichever player finishes higher), and as it stands today I'm spotting you 7.4 points (19.7 for Korver vs 12.3 for Smith). Winner chooses loser's sig for the next offseason, nothing off-color, all in good fun.

Smith is a knucklehead, but he's a talented knucklehead.
