Beal is BETTER than DeRozan. It's not even close.

But back to Lowry, i still think we should trade this guy. SELL HIGH. He's almost 30 years old. He plays like an idiot on both ends of the floor. His shot selection and decision making is mind boggling. He's INJURY PRONE. What is his new injury now? they're saying shin contusion or something? sigh.

'It's not even close' for the guy without an allstar appearance?

Anyways back on Lowry. The only opportunity we had to 'sell high' was back in December & January when he was playing like a top tier PG. We're not getting crap for him now. Unless Masai does something magical.

best one I could come up with would be a 3 team trade (can't decide on the third team yet), but we get back Lawson and Wilson Chandler and Denver would get back picks.

This would be a "do nothing" move. It wouldn't improve the Raptors in any way.

If we trade Lowry, it's gotta be for youth and picks. Need to start building from scratch, rather than pull a Colangelo and desperately attempt to build on the fly.

then we should part with Masai then, since that would be the start of a true rebuild, most of the true rebuilds recently have involved bringing in a new GM. If Ujiri wants to rebuild, where was this 2 years ago then? He decided to waste the 2 years. Let someone else take a stab at it.

Was anything lost on those 2 years (other than our patience)? It's not like we have this fantastic young core that's being wasted. Our only real core piece is Jonas, who has a few years to go before plateauing. Masai still has enough time to build this team properly.

we lost time to start building a core.

DD & Lowry both became all-stars, boosting their trade value vs. pennies on the dollars a few years ago. That's very good asset management. Remember when people around here were excited to possibly get Shumpert in return for Lowry? lol.

We don't have a core, so did we really lose time?

we could have "started" building one in these two years, we could have been in the process of building one, but he decided to waste the years instead.

Lowry's reverted right back to his rockets self. gambling constantly, playing really selfishly on offense.

good thing he's got a movable contract...
