Yeah, let's hate him and chase him out of town, like everybody else that has tried to make our favorite team win.
Right because toning down the blind support = hate him and chase him out of town.

Man, if he had the money, I wish Nav Bhatia owned the team.... Can he make himself and other really rich passionate fans buy the team away from MLSE? They can keep the TFC and the Maple Leaves
We would all have to buy hyundies from him. Lol.

At the very least, the blind love for this man should be toned down. He has made both good great and terrible decisions in the past.

If Casey is retained, I wonder what would happen if we start next season 15-26?
We very well could be 15-26 next season. In fact based on the fact that we are retaining DC apparently it could be a season where we miss the playoffs entirely.

Your opinion. Time will tell. So far this offseason the sign are not encouraging. MLSE does have huge influence as to the direction sports teams take. The question is can MU be his own man and make decisions that MLSE may not agree with.

Even if Masai has taken on the persona of his employers, I fail to see why we (as fans) should be bothered by that.

Doesn't MLSE want to win as badly as we do? Didn't they just spent a gazillion dollars on a new practice facility and D-League team?
This is how Larry Tanenbaum felt about this year's Raptors squad (pre-playoffs)....

He's delusional to think we were championship contenders.

The good thing is that Masai publicly stated that this team needs improvement. So we can confidently say he doesn't share the mindset of his MLSE boss.

MU to date you have shown to be an executive that is basically in a wait and see approach. More and more it looks like to me you are comfortable in the environment you are in. I truly hope you have not become MLSEs lap dog.

Yeah, two playoff appearances in a row, and two new records for regular season games won, after how many years in the wilderness? This sucks compared to the last twenty years. And all they have going forward are all their picks for the next few years, plus, financial flexibility, and some decent players on good contracts. I HATE this.

BKN has made the playoff both years and they are a mess. Bucks and Celtics made it without even trying. The East is a mess. It's really hard not to make the playoffs.
