  • "The Lou Williams Situation"

According to reports everyone wants our six man of the year

Unfortunately a lot of teams have cap space so we are kinda fucked in that regard.

Also...he doesn't need us to get a better deal

Also...I really don't want him here although he had his moments.

The main page says Kings, Nets, Knicks and Lakers are interested

Knicks and Lakers can sign him outright

Kings, I would totally do Stauskus and 6th pick for him
Nets, Jack, Teletovic and 29th pick
Knicks, Calderon #4 for Lou Williams and Terrence Ross
Lakers we can do fuck all about as there is no way in hell they trade the 2nd pick

Nets need to shed contracts. Hope to God he ends up playing with Kobe and Nick Young

If raps can return anything for Lou as part of a trade, that is a huge win.

May 2015-16 be the season of transition.

Wishful thinking ... I don't think Raptors can get anything

I'm thinking the only chance we have is if a capped out team wants him. You are probably right though, we will either end up overpaying or get nothing

              ^^^^^ This!

No way can we have both Vasquez and Lou together next season. I can tolerate 1 of them but not both. And the other guard must be a defensive 1st player.

If teams really do want Lou, it only adds to my current belief on the immediate future of raps:

There has never been a better time to rebuild than right now.

That's funny, I got the feeling that Vasquez couldn't tolerate him and Lou being together either.

As a free agent Lou can only b traded as part of a sign-and-trade during free agency. So even if he was worth any of those high picks (he isn't) it's not possible. The other team could trade the drafted rights I believe, or could trade 30 days after a contract is signed (like Wiggins was last season).

What interests me not is the number of teams near the top of the who are rumoured to be interested. With rumoured interest from Lakers (2), Knicks (4), Kings (6), and Heat (10), that's four of the top 10 drafting teams that clearly want to compete immediately.

You don't sign a sixth man like Lou Willians without gunning for a playoff run immediately. Makes me believe all the more that a good number of lottery picks could be available for established players.

But back on theme: I have no interest in getting into a bidding war for Lou, which is exactly what appears to be where Lou is heading.

Casey + Lou next season = More ISOs at the end of quarters

I really want this to change.
