I don't know why this thread is still going... Ben Simmons is going to fall to us at 9, and a mistaken medical report will cause Jamal Murray to fall to us at 27For still frame photograph of me reading the DeRozan thread please refer to my avatar

It will be tough for Sacramento to pass on Chriss. They need a PF and the kid is from Sacramento.
I would really be curious to see what Masai would do if Dunn was still on the board. I think only Philly needs a PG badly in the top 10. I would take Dunn and make it work somehow.@Chr1st1anL

Me neither! But if he starts dropping, there's a chance that the Raptors pick becomes suddenly more valuable to a team that loves him but thought they'd have no chance. I'd at least make some phone calls (or better yet, have some options in place ahead of time).

Haha, body measurements are about the least valuable analytical tool there is. He performs and knows how to play, is coachable and has great intangibles. Go head and write off Sabonis, but you will be wrong. He put up 16.8 WS/40 and you want to measure his arms.

You don't draft an energy big with our lone lotto pick for probably the forseeable future.
On top of that Sabonis is probably the worst choice of the 3 and he's your favorite. Sabonis has terrible defence (please go watch his DraftExpress vid for further explanation) but in short (no pun intended) his t-rex arms that are as long as Norman Powell's are horrible for a post defender, he doesn't even crack 7ft. He also defends being very upright which makes him terrible at covering ground laterally. The result is a guy who will be bad defending both the perimeter and the interior...
With his upright stance perimeter players and stretch 4s will be able to go around him and in the post he actually doesn't hold position well so with his short arms post players will be able to go right over top him. His offence is also a bit overrated as well because he has a terrible tendency to almost exclusively go right, so he's horribly predictable. I'm willing to bet he will amount to nothing more than a big off the bench. Much of his college "success" is due to being the size of a full grown man in college. In the pros, that advantage will be gone.

Balls he has. It's the rest that concerns me.
