Around the trade deadline everyone here at RR was talking about getting Iguodala, and seeing that Bosh basically said for him to stay, we'd have to get that all-star caliber slashing wing, I think the conversation can go back to Iguodala again.
I was trying to think of a way that the raps could possibly get him from Philly and the only way I could see it happenning, is with parting with one of DeMar or Sonny. This goes without question since Philly would want youth and value to be coming back their way.
My proposal would be: Sonny, Jose, our first rounder and evans/banks' expiring contracts.
Philly would be getting potential in Sonny(who has proven his potential is there) and the pick which could end up being really good. Jose, I assume, will come back better than this year since last offseason he didnt play at all in order to fully heal that hamstring. Evans and Banks would be great because it would be 10million coming off the books at the end of next year, giving them either some cap room for next offseason, or two highly tradeable assets for this summer/season.
In Iguodala the raps would get that slashing perimiter player who would also instantly become their best defender. Not to mention a really good playmaker and rebounder.
Looking purely at his stats, his ppg (17.1) is less than last season (18.8).This can be accounted for in his slightdrop in FG% (-3%) and his total number of shots taken is around 30 or so less than last season. His RPG(6.5) and APG(5.8) were both career-highs this year and in his 6 seasons in the NBA, in only 1 (06-07) has he not played in all 82 games. Thats impressive.
Thoughts on this deal?
Who are other wing players the raps should look into?
