I think it was Plus/minus stat that says the raps are better with JV on the bench but, that just one stat. Obviously JV is better player than that stat shows. That's why id rather the eye test than stats. You can use any stat to prove any narrative.

Not trying to turn this into JV vs DD. I really want JV to have a good year. With Lou gone. If were good were going to need him to live up to his new contract.

Lou's Iso mentality spread throughout the team like cancer and everybody bought in. He single handidly disrupted the near perfect cohesion and chemistry we saw from the same core players through the whole second half of the year before. It's the same garbage we continue to see from demar. If you listen to everybody's comments carefully throughout multiple interviews (I'm way too lazy to go back and listen to point them out), including some key players on the team, there are hints being dropped to demar all over the place. And he is not getting it. Either that or he is just blatantly defiant. Personally, I just think he's stupid.

JV is a Iso player as well. Just cause its in the post doesn't mean its not an iso. Post ups are isos on the block. Out top 3 player are better in Iso situations. That's why Lou wasn't a good fit. Your right about his style of play rubbing off on GV, Ross and so on.

I've criticized JV as well for not recognizing when to pass out of the post. However, JV has a much better FG% than DD and his shots are coming much closer to the rim. Again it comes down to IQ. They both need to improve but DD hurts us more than JV.

I disagree the both our instrumental in the success of the team. Also JV isn't the one teams are game planning to stop every night.

JV is an iso player because thats what Casey forces him into, throw him the ball, clear out and leave him by himself to score or turn it over, that isn't proper basketball, of course JV needs to learn to pass it out at times too and when JV makes mistakes, the others don't give him the ball the rest of the game. As for Lou, its in his blood to be an iso scorer.
