I can say with same conviction that the offense was good as you can say it was bad. Its a matter of conjecture and opinion.
The Raps scored when it mattered and under pressure late in the game.
Thats a mark of either good personnel or a good offensive scheme no ?
OKC bailed Demar out late by fouling. That's defensive problems. If teams don't bite at double the rate as normal, the Raptors score 90-95pts. They need to fix the 20-30% first quarters and long stretches where the second unit never scores and Biyombo is taking every other shot or at least somehow end up with the ball. It's weird that he's the only one not afraid to shot on the second unit

Viewed another way... Demar is such an effective offensive player that the defense of OKC is damned if they do (hang back and let him shoot) and damned if they don't (they close up on him and he creates a shooting foul ).
Thats the mark of a smart and talented offensive player no ?
Or are you just so set in your preconcieved views that regardless of what unfolds you ignore the optics and stay with your dogmatic view ?

There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

Orlando didn't and Raptors couldnt close out even with a gift TO. The league is moving away from fouling hence guys going vertical. They don't even try to block shots

Pleeeze reconsider that thought/statement...thats like saying Canada is moving away from winter. Admirable but impossible.

Staying with my original view and post that it was an off nite in Orlando.. no one is spot on for every single game of an 82 game season. Looking for a better shooting night tonite in Miami and a win to finish up the first leg of the long roadie 3up and 1down.

There are a few other article more recent detailing how teams are trying to cut down fouls.

Getting to the line is as important as 3pt shooting and it sense for defenses to prevent it. It one of the ways analytics is changing basketball

This is the same thought process as smokers trying to cut down on darts... everyone trying to drop 15 lbs and hitting the gym....all easily said but most likely never met... there are boatloads of articles written on those topics as well...
Sorry dude.. not buying...the gap between plans and execution is just to wide to have a hope in hell...

Plantar fasciitis. Needs to rest for a couple weeks, ideally. We'll see if he gets that.

Raptors can take this one. Put PP in starting lineup, throw JJ out there at starting SF so you still have some shooting off the bench.

As if. But it would be nice. That loss to Orlando was the excuse needed to swap Scola to the bench.
