The race for 3 through 6 is at the quarter pole... and down the stretch they come
Monday sees Atlanta going in to Cleveland to meet the Lebron's. Cleveland needs to get a little momentum going for the playoffs after shitting the bed against the Bulls on national TV and generally playing uneven ball over the past couple of weeks. The Houston loss at home didn't help either. Atlanta is playing really well but its on the road. Atlanta takes a loss in this one.
Atlanta gets redemption by facing the likely Wall-less Whiz on Wednesday. Wall has sat out the last 3 for the Whiz and there is no reason to see why he suits up again this year. A Hawk W.
The Hornets head in to Boston to play the Celts on a back to back. Celts are ready and waiting with an extra day off and want home court and this is one they have to win. The Hornets have played 8 of their last 10 on the road and this is the 9th of 11 games. Pretty tough grind on the Buzz. A W to the plucky warriors from Boston putting them back in the race for 3rd seed and pretty much relegating the Hornets to 6th.
Best game of the night on Wednesday sees the Heat in Boston to see who gets home court. If the Celts beat both the Hornets and the Heat and the Hawks go 1 and 1 they finish 4th and get homecourt as the tiebreaker goes to Atlanta over Boston. Think the over hyped Celts beat the over rated Heat in this one.
Order of finish would be 3. Hawks 4. Celts 5. Heat and 6. Hornets.
The jockeying for 7th and 8th.
Right now its a tie as they come down the stretch. Tie breaker goes to Indy.
No games Monday night but on Tuesday the Pacers get the Knicks at home and the Pistons get the Heat.
Indy should beat the Knicks and put themselves in the drivers seat for 7th. On Wednesday they go Milwaukee who is playing for draft position. You have to like the Pacers for 7th no matter what the Pistons do.
Pistons get the Heat .. then travel to Cleveland to likely play Clevelands bench on Wednesday. Think they lose to the Heat and win in Cleveland. It really doesn't matter unless someone puts barbituates in Indys water bottles and they lose to the Knicks and the Deer. There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

Winner of 1v8 will face winner of 4v5.
Winner of 2v7 will face winner of 3v6.I relish negativity and disappointment. It is not healthy. Somebody buy me a pony.

From the Front Pages of RR... Here are the Tie Breakers as best we know them.
ATL: Tiebreaker vs. Bos, Cha
BOS: Tiebreaker vs. Mia, Cha
MIA: Tiebreaker vs. Atl, would win 3-way tie with Atl & Bos (per Matt Moore)
CHA: No tiebreakers but could get tiebreaker vs. MiaThere's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

Missed by two time zones on the Celtics/Hornets matchup.
Looks like that Wednesday game between the Pluckiest team in the East and the Heat will be the determining factor on who gets homecourt and who doesn't.There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.
