By the way, the guy JV destroyed tonight, Lopez, has an elite DFG% this season. Guys are shooting 10.2% below season average against him. If JV can go for 22 on 13 shots against him, imagine what he could do against a bad defensive center if we just passed him the ball?
Lopez is a bad defensive center. That said the list of C that JV can't just overpower gets smaller and smaller every year. Too bad Casey benches him when teams have no C in the lineup instead of just posting up for a near automatic 2.

Show us some metrics that say he's bad. You seem to just say stuff whether it has any validity or not.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

I'm not doing work to prove Brook Lopez is a bad defender and rebounder. Use Google

          • JV had a good game tonight because his teammates were actually looking for him. 6 of his 8 FG's were assisted - 2 each KL and DD, 1 each Scola and Joseph.

            • Some fun player tracking stats from tonight.

We went 12/35(34.3%) on uncontested shots tonight. Standouts in this area were Lowry(0/5) and Ross(1/4).

Ross had 18 total front court touches tonight, his 6th straight game under 20. JJ had 18 front court touches tonight as well.

Among guys playing 15+ minutes(basically, not the bench guys who played 2 minutes), Cory Joseph had the best NetRtg at 43.3. Only two guys were negative, Ross at -19.8 and Biz at -10.1. These were also the only two players not to log time with JV tonight.

This isn't Biz getting buckets because defenses are leaving him open. It's JV finishing in traffic. Other teams broadcasters drool seeing a 7 footer with length and size that can rebound, shoot and finish for a reason, they are near impossible to stop in single coverage

                • Did that offensive goaltending count as a touch for Ross?

Hard to tell, but I would guess probably yes.

Which is why his team mates should actually look for him down low.

I'm okay with a Casey for Hollins trade.
Hollins, Casey, Byron Scott & Mike Woodson are pretty much interchangeable.

One has made it to the WCF without a Durant or a Dirk

                              • casey said the first smart thing i heard in awhile in the post game that going to jonas helped give guys a rest on offense. he is half right. gives you a rest on defense as well.

if jonas can do well against a tru big he should eat everyone else in the league coaching coaching coaching get the man the ball.
