I personally don't care about ads/no ads, as long as the quality of the on-court product remains the same.

But to slaw's point, everyone's got boners for gold/black owl logos. But swap that for a Gatorade 'G', and everyone loses their minds, lol.

Anyone have any idea if the jersey ad revenue would be considered BRI (basketball related income) and be required to be split with the players?

Though I guess that hasn't been decided yet. It's a little different than selling ads in the game program.
IF I could raise that much I wouldn't be here right now.

No one's going to fight this. They'll do it, make tons of money. Fans will be irked for a minute and then just accept it.

I wonder how the shoe companies feel about this?

Oh, and NBA owners: go fuck yourselves.

The sponsorship patch will appear on the front left of the game jerseys opposite the Nike logo. Patches will measure approximately 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches and be adjusted to fit the dimensions of each sponsor's logo.
The sponsor patch will not appear on the retail versions of the player jerseys but teams will have the option to sell the jerseys with sponsor patches in their own retail outlets.
                            It doesn't sound that bad

Can I just ask: Why do you care? Why should fans care? What's wrong with putting ads on jerseys?
