Kyle takes Alvin. Vince takes DeMar. New JYD takes Old JYD. Oakley goes on a rampage and we're left with JV vs. Davis which would be influenced greatly by Oak and Pat. The benches are tough to figure out because it would come down to adjustments. We know how good Casey is at that... I will say that Lenny was far to passive and Dwane is not.

For me, it comes down to two factors, both of which favor the 00-01 squad:
1. Alvin, Childs, Mo-P and JYD would be able to frustrate and shut down DeRozan and Lowry, forcing the current team to rely on role players to succeed; we've seen how horrendous this team can be when relying offensively on Casey's plan-panic.
2. The current team would not be able to stop prime Vinsanity. If they played today, given the rule changes, superstar calls, etc... VC would have the current team in foul trouble in no time. Don't forget, VC was also a solid playmaker, able to create easy buckets for his teammates off his penetration. With Davis (inside drop-offs) and outside shooters (Curry, Mo-P, Alvin, Childs), VC would carve the current team to shreds.

Plus the 2016 home crowd of the new Raptors would be too busy to cheer for their team because they'd be too busy taking Polaroids of Vince Carter dunks and mailing them out to their friends!!

AI shot 38.9% during the playoffs that year, but only 36% against the Raptors.Last edited by ebrian; Thu May 12, 2016, 03:02 PM.your pal,

That Raptors team was even less consistent than the Raptors we've seen against the Heat. Both Lowry and DeRozan were creating records in shooting futility. The Pacers stretched the Raptors to 7 games with Paul George and a bunch of nobodies! You'd have to be kidding yourself if you think that replacing Ian Mahinmi and Myles Turner with Charles Oakley and Antonio Davis, makes the Raptors beat the Pacers faster.. that's sheer madness.
