Have we gotten to the point where every nba superstar bolts their smaller market team for the bright lights every single time they become a UFA? This is very troubling.

The league has never had less parity than it does right here right now. There is only one team in the east, and one in the west. Kind of sucks.
That being said, you can't argue with what GSW has done. Not just in getting Durant, but having the ability to do so. It's been the perfect storm of factors to get to this point and they've had some luck, but some really solid decision making coming out of that organization lately.

Also (question for danH), by very rough estimates: minus Ezeli Barnes and bogut, plus durant and 2016 draftees, the warriors have 0 dollars and 0 cents remaining and about 8 or available bodies. How do they expect to you know, make a whole team?9 time first team all-RR, First Ballot Hall of Forum

with drafting jakob, does anyone think Masai is finding a replacement for JV?
I think JV has progressed nicely but he also seems to be a perfect trade piece along with lets say T-Ross.
From the looks of scouting video, Jakob seems light years ahead of what JV is capable of doing.
Andrew Bogut esque in the way he moves but with more socring ability, passing remains to be seen but looks more than a able playmaker.
If this were to be a trade, who would you like to see coming back? Hopefully a stretch 4.
some targets to condisder:
Aaron Gordon - Magic now have a front court jam now
Pkg of Jabari Parker/Greg Monroe(always wanted him to come play for the raps)
Nerlens Noel - not much a 4 but is mobile enough, maybe he could switch over
Paul Milsap - (really wanted him couple years ago, but he is getting up there in age, wouldnt want him long term)
Blake Griffin - (pipe dream but again a pkg of jv and t ross would be more than enticing i hope)

Ure starting 5 are in their prime..
I really didn't like that we drafted more kids this year,it's a waste, they should of traded those picks for vets, u have plenty of young talent.
As for the Cap,u can create cap space by trading few guys off ure roster with picks and young talent.
T Ross,Patrick Patterson,Jakob Poeltl,Pascal Siakam,Lucas Nogueira,Delon Wright,Bruno Caboclo,1st rd pick,2nd rd picks,cash..whatever. This team should not b going back wards..but forward.
Until we have a basis of a team that can stand toe-to-toe with the Cavaliers, and I mean for real okay. I'm not talking about winning two home games and getting blown out in the other 4. That's not toe-to-toe. Once we are at the point where we can legitimately challenge Cavaliers for top spot, then and only then should we make a risky trade to put us into contention for the championships.your pal,

Looking at available free agents, they could end up with, say:
Steph/Livingston/Leandro Barbosa
Klay/Kevin Martin/Seth Curry
KD/Iggy/Dorell Wright
Dray/Kevon Looney/David West
Nene/Chris Kaman/Damian Jones
That's a perfectly respectable bench to round out the team and there are lots of other options: Jarrett Jack, Matt Bonner, Tyler Hansbrough, etc.

They'll have the room MLE, but not the big one. Basically a slightly larger minimum deal in this market. So yeah, it will be a patchwork bench for sure. Of course, you can have two or three of those 4 stars on the court at any one time, so patchwork should be fine.

Note that GSW will not have the MLE or BAE, just the room MLE. They are using cap space, so they lose the bigger exceptions.
