  • Larry should go back to the bucks if he comes back. He cut out of his contract there, and they could use a big defensive presence inside.

Sanders is a 3rd stringer at best until he proves otherwise. Bebes earned a higher spot imo. Anybody who takes him is taking a flyer. Low risk high reward but he's gotta show and prove
The NBA isn't about seniority. Sanders in 2015 was alot better than Bebe in 2016.

Sanders took a year off by his own choice. He left on his term. He had the maturity to understand himself and to bravely do something that most others wouldn't dare do. He's not third stringer at best. He's a player with starter level talent in his prime years and upon proving he wants back and shows via a workout that he's in shape should garner a rotation job somewhere in the NBA. Teams improve not only by finding value where they're supposed to but also in finding value where others cannot. Biz was the latter last offseason and now his value is through the roof so much that he may not be back. Sanders might be that for them again this season if they go after him. This move would have nothing to do with Bebe beyond speaking to the point that his game isn't in a place to allow the team to confidently give backup duties to him by default.

He owes them nothing. They owe him nothing. The Bucks did really well in the buyout; a lot better than they would have if Sanders showed up distracted and not wanting to be there only to collect a FULL paycheque. I mean that's how that situation normally plays out. What he did was rare and very admirable.

Now he wants back and if he's smart he'll understand he will be a commodity in demand and that he NEEDS to pick a location with a strong locker room and coaching staff. He would get what he needs in Toronto, along with the best fans in the NBA.

          • A motivated Larry Sanders as backup center would instantly give us the best center rotation in the league and it wouldn't be particularly close. Anybody who thinks otherwise is wrong, plain and simple.

              Well. That's that, then.

It is. When Larry Sanders was motivated, he was well on his way to being a top-five center in the league. His 2012-13 season was ridiculous. As a backup center he would basically bring everything Biyombo did except moreso and he's a better shooter.

                • If we can't land an upgrade at PF then Ujiri will likely look to pick up someone that much like Scola and Biyombo that nobody is looking at. Can someone like Maresse Speights be had for cheap? He and Patterson can maybe platoon the PF position. If we do or can go cheap on PF, I would love to try and wrangle Oladipo from Orlando. Ross for Oladipo?

That would be a grossly one sided deal.

No the best part is that he always somehow sneaks in a Jeremy Lin signing.

So, basically, like the Biyombo signing last year? Take a cheap flyer on a cast off who no one else wanted in the hopes he can be your fifth big? Can lighting strike twice?

                        • I would think there'll be more interest in Sanders than there was in Biyombo.

Sanders did have a season where he averaged 10 points, almost 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. I'm sure teams will show more interest on him than Biyombo in the hopes that he can average that again.

What's funny is that Biyombo basically put up the same numbers as last year, he was just on a bigger stage. Role players that shine in deep playoff runs tend to get big money.
