Man what a game last night. Carrolls coming out party? We can only hope so, because the 1st and 4th quarter he was involved, energetic, and hitting shots. To me the shots in secondary to the actual junk yard dog stuff we actually saw last night. I think aside from any big trade, a demarre carroll we signed up for would be the biggest internal improvement. That would bring us back to having a punchers chance at the cavaliers.

Defense was outstanding from everyone. Cojo was draining buckets! Just entertaining ball. Bebe looked a little lost last night, backup center is definitely a slight issue, but whatever. We're back on track guys!

Couldn't agree more. I got at Demarre and Cory for not playing like we all know they can play as well as Patterson, but if even 2 out of those 3 can start looking like themselves again at BOTH ends we will definitely have a better chance against Cleveland. We would still lose to them in a 7 game series but I think we would play them a lot better. Also Bebe is the only one so far who is still kinda struggling, but he needs these minutes so he can learn and be better come end of the season and playoff time, so I will take the growing pains. I also don't worry too much about him because I know if he doesn't start getting it Sullinger will be taking those center minutes when he comes back and he plays better at center than at PF anyway. I have really been impressed with Pascal's defense as of late as well. He is just so agile and is able to keep guys if front of him so well while also recovering back to his guy when need be. He obviously was overmatched by a guy like Blake Griffin and others but the effort was definitely there.

Still think Debo was playing the same game. He had 7 assists against the clippers and averaging 5.6 assist over the last 5 games. Players are just starting to make open shoots.

Carroll playing like Carroll, Ross stepping up his game and consistency, improved JV, improved DD, Powell playing a little more under control, the emergence of Siakim, and a healthy Salinger for the last half of the season all add up to potentially a significant improvement for the Raptors and a better playoff run.

Even though leading scorer DeMar DeRozan was given the night off, Kyle Lowry made sure they had little trouble with Milwaukee. Lowry had 25 points and 11 assists, and rookie Norman Powell scored a season-high 17 in a 107-89 victory over the Bucks on Tuesday. Bismack Biyombo, starting for injured center Jonas Valanciunas, had 12 points, 13 rebounds and two big blocks in the decisive third quarter, when Milwaukee missed 16 of 22 shots. Toronto led 81-66 after three, allowing coach Dwane Casey to rest Lowry in the fourth. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 18 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists in 35 minutes for Milwaukee, just missing a triple-double DeRozan, who averages 23.8 points per game, was in uniform but didn't play after starting each of the team's first 65 games and playing 39 minutes in a loss to Chicago on Monday night. Valanciunas was held out as a precaution after bruising his left hand against the Bulls.
Lowry made five of nine shots from the field and 11 of 13 free throws as Toronto won for the fourth time in five games. Toronto won all four games in the season series and swept the Bucks.


Noteworthy:

- The Toronto Raptors are averaging 108.5 points on 46.1 percent shooting and allowing 105.3 points on 45.8 percent shooting.
- DeMar DeRozan is averaging 30.5 points and 5.2 rebounds while Kyle Lowry is averaging 19.7 points and 7.3 assists.
- Jonas Valanciunas is the third double-digit scorer and Terrence Ross is grabbing 2.2 rebounds.
- The Toronto Raptors are shooting 34.4 percent from beyond the arc and 81 percent from the free throw line.
- The Toronto Raptors are allowing 34.4 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 42.8 rebounds per game.
- The Toronto Raptors have split their last six road games.
- The rail-thin, multi-faceted Bucks guard is a long seven-footer who often acts as the team’s primary ball-handler. DeRozan and, likely, DeMarre Carroll as well will have to worry about stopping him in transition.
- The Bucks have been idle since beating Orlando on Monday night.
- This wraps up a five-game road trip for Toronto
- The Raptors want to get back to holding opponents under 100 points. Although the Rockets scored 102 points on Wednesday, Toronto was able to limit them to 45 percent shooting.
- Milwaukee is 23rd in the league in points per game, averaging 102.6 points per contest. After giving up 100+ points in their previous nine games, Toronto will be looking to build on the defensive performance they showed in the Rockets win.

Bucks love going small.. I believe Henson is their starting Center, and Plumlee comes off the bench, while Monroe barely plays much. JV should be able to feast if that's the case.. however I could see him getting about 18-20 minutes like he has against other teams that play small.
