My only problem with that is Drummond's salary.

I think he pretty much fits how we use our C, to gobble up rebounds, catch a lob and set hard screens but I don't think the max salary price tag is worth it to me especially in light of the fact, if anything we probably need to trim salary to retain Norm after this year.

It's not a season until tenforthewin shows up with his trade "proposals."

fuck me if I'm wrong, but looking at the Roster, JV is our only piece that could net us anything useful back. Any other big salaries moved essentially equates to a rebuild

I doubt there will be any real pieces added to this team. If JV is moved, it's probably to save money (for example, if the team underachieves a bit but the team still wants to bring Norm back). I doubt he has enough value on his own in this wacky big man market to really bring back much in way of upgrade.

Norm and OG are probably our best assets right now..add one of those to JV and we can probably bring back something solid.

Don't feel we need to do that kind of a trade, but if a star was available and was willing to go East (say Marc Gasol for example) then I'd probably consider it. However that would mean we would go into tax which is something MLSE would be against.

Looks like the NBA is changing up the all-star game. Fan voting will still be there, but the two guys with the highest votes (from either conference) will be captains. They can then select 6 more players to play on their team from either conference. So no more East vs West.

Like that they're changing things up.

    More details here:

*Edit - coaches are still selecting the reserves, but the captains decide who they want to play with.

Personally I would have liked the Eastern Conference All-Stars vs the Warriors just to show how ridiculously unfair it is that this team is assembled. It can be like the Oilers vs Russia back in the day.

    Lebron-giannis-love
    Wall-derozan
    Vs
    Green-durant-iguodala
    Curry-Thompson

Yep, the east stars would get their ass kicked

Did the NHL change it so they don't draft every player? the last 4 or whatever just get divided up so no one has to be the Phil Kessel? Or was that just a proposed change I read somewhere?

Anyway, for Hotshot, Phil Kessel was the last player drafted however many years ago in the NHL All Star team draft. I think he won a truck for his troubles at least lol

Definitely an eastern all star since apparently there still needs to be 12 of them lol. Actually probably a big like Kevin Love

Assuming it's Lebron, it won't be Love. Maybe Giannis can win it.

    Preseason Knicks vs Nets?
I wouldn’t get overly excited about JYD 0.2 just yet.

    #mafuzzyslippers

Who knows though... because the Nets suck so hard and they’ll really need him to be somewhat of a focal point, maybe he’ll continue to offer some flashes along the way. Doesn’t change the fact that he never stood up to ring the bell while he was here.

    Good riddance.
