    Theres much more to managing a roster of human beings beyond stats and cap space. If Carroll wasn't in the plans to play much anymore, then he can't be here, full stop. It's also the reason "idiot casey" gave Carroll chance after chance after chance. All players can not be handled the same simply based on play and play only, that's just the way it is.

      As rocwell said, he's not getting paid that. Barcelona (his former team) is getting that amount from this new team. This is the biggest transaction ever in sports history in terms of monetary value.
