Kinda interested in Denver. They have Lydon, Lyles, Arthur, faried, juancho, Barton, beasley
And may have some interest in cojo, bebe and JV.
I don't see Denver having much interest in JV considering their style of play.

Was thinking second unit change of pace to absorb some contact from big 5s and prevent jokic injury. I think they liked what nurkic was capable of but not his attitude. JV gives a lot of what nurkic does but a much better teammate.
It's a stretch but we don't have a lot of options

I've never heard of any rumblings that Nurkic was a bad teammate. In fact I've heard Mike Miller and Jameer Nelson both on American podcasts singing his praises (and in Miller's case, saying he was destined to be an all-star before his break out). Maybe I missed something.

Regardless, I think the "change of pace" concept for a team's second unit is sort of overrated. I don't think GMs are racking their brains trying to find players that go against the overall make up of their roster.

            Nurkic kinda quit on them:

“It’s tough. I’m 22 years-old, I’m not here to sit on the bench, I’m here to play basketball,” Nurkic said to Mr. Wind at practice Thursday. “Tough decision for me, from starting spot for three minutes, to seven, four-straight not play. I’m not accept that. Nobody probably understands my position so even if you don’t know if you’re starting the next game or not. But like I said, you can control what you can control and I let my agent do the rest of the stuff.” (from Denver stiffs)

I think they liked his skill set in the 2nd unit but not his attitude. Plumlee is a free agent and maybe wants as much or more money than JV and for more yrs. Not sure? Plus cojo kinda fits. Maybe bebe instead of JV?

            • Any interest in Arron Afflalo? Looks like he will be released.

I'm interested, sure; but is there any way he won't get more on the open market than a team over the cap can pay him?

We'd only be able to offer the mid-level.. and even then I doubt Masai uses it since we'll be a tax team already (plus I believe the mid level for a tax team is pretty low).

The more interesting thing though is that the Kings are going to get a boatload of cap space (I heard somewhere around $50M overall). Could be the ideal team for a Carroll dump.

                  • Saw a blurb today about the Wolves looking to upgrade at pg...and Lowry is on the radar.

Doubts exist whether they can afford him.

He's being released because he's awful. Try to find anything positive on him the past couple of seasons.

                        No thanks.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

Lowry and coach Thibs?! lol part of Lowry reason for liking the Raptors is that they give him enough touches and rope then probably anywhere else. In Chicago, Butler, Wiggins and Towns will have just as much touches or more so then Lowry. Not to mention coach Thibs is a hardass and if you give him a subpar performance like Lowry did in the playoffs , unlike Casey he is going to be in your ear yelling obscenities.

I haven't heard much of anything about him over the past two seasons, perhaps because he's been playing with Sacramento, who always seems to have something worse than garden variety awful players going on and being talked about.

The question of whether we should consider him is whether he's a better or worse sort of awful than post-injury Carroll, as that is probably whom we would be attempting to replace if we picked him up.

Wolves want Lowry. They only have $20m in cap room. S&t Lowry for rubio and picks?

if only for the hilarity of watching casey's head explode trying to work out an offence with a pass-first point guard again, sure.
