To dodge the tax they're probably going to trade JV to re-sign Powell next summer or maybe this year, that definitely doesn't make us better. This year, we can't trade any 1st round picks (we don't have our 2018 pick so we can't trade 2019, and trading ones later than that is very risky), we'll be able to in 2018-19 I guess. Can't go over the hard cap now so our huge TPEs aren't really that useful.

Besides, can't have two guys playing significant minutes who can't shoot the 3 at all (DD and Biz).If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

- Masai ujiri on the valanciunas rumours not really being a big deal
Masai: “We believe in JV’s talent. … We’re very comfortable with JV. We’re not trying to give JV away."

Masai says it's funny how last year many said JV's absence was such a huge factor vs MIA & then CLE. Now folks just dogging him.

In interest of "transparency", Ujiri admits they looked at scenario's to unload JV's $ (when they were in tax) but that's no longer the case

still pretty sure Casey is on the hot seat.
Regarding our offence, it doesn't have to be a dramatic change to be a critical one. we shouldn't be trying to go 7seconds or less or anything. We just need to pass more willingly in the half court and keep everyone involved as more than just spot-up shooters, since we don't really have any of those on our roster anymore (except for Miles).
