    Lets Get MELO

    So this is how to rebuild and retool.

    We trade: JV, Carroll, (prospect) Bebe for Melo and O'Quinn

    Then trade: Cojo to Pistons for Morris

    We resign Lowry, Ibaka and Turker.
    Lowry - 120m/4y (if Lowry wants over 30m a season, fuck him and go get Holiday or Hill)
    Ibaka - 90m/4y
    Tucker - 38/3y (Last year PO)

    Sign cheap Vet who can shoot
    Vince Carter - Vet Min


    Line up will look like

    Lowry/Wright/Van
    Demar/Norm
    Tucker/Carter/Bruno
    Melo/Morris/Pascal
    Ibaka/O'Quinn/Poeltl

    Everyone expect Demar cna shoot 3s pretty well but we'll have flexibility can could start this lineup instead

    Lowry/Wright/Van
    Demar/Norm
    Melo/Carter/Bruno
    Morris/Tucker/Pascal
    Ibaka/O'Quinn/Poeltl


    If salary cap is an issue, draft a shooter (ex. Justin Jackson) with the 23rd pick and let Tucker walk. Or IMO let Lowry walk and sign Jrue Holiday, he's much younger and will have a much better next 5 years comparing to Lowry (if he can stay health). And, if he cannot stay healthy, im sure Jrue Holiday will stay perform much better than Lowry in the playoffs on one foot.
    Although I would love to Resign Tucker and let our 23rd pick Develop

    Yeah, lets become a Knicks-like roster with bad 3pt shooting, rebounding, and two ball-dominant/low assist perimeter scorers who take the bulk of their shots from mid-long range 2s.

    Or, lets not.

    Seriously, if this kind of move happens, I'm not following this team until both Masai and Casey are gone.

        Abbas probably forgets that Masai and Melo have a history.
        If Melo and the Knicks are involved....it has to be an absolute fleece squared transaction.

                On paper your suggestion looks not too bad but Melo is a ball stopper and another iso guy. He misses as much if not more time than Lowry. I like Melo as a person but he is a highly paid and really cannot get better.

                  I am not a fan of Melo at all, do not like his game at all. However I would much rather have him than Carroll.

                        Carroll on the bench doing nothing, is much better than Melo playing 35 mpg chucking.
