I'm going to make a bold prediction. Final standings in the east. Toronto/Boston/Philadephia/Miami. At this point I feel that Philly might be the hardest team for the Raptors to beat in a series; especially as Embiid always gets lots of help from the refs. Perhaps this outlook will change before the trade deadline. Boston with Kemba Walker or Cleveland with Hill could make them tougher. But I'm doubting that Boston will make a big move as they believe the future is theirs and Cleveland has nothing to trade.

That there is something needed to help the Cavs out of the rut they're in isn't news.
What are the options ? Lets take a look at the corporate decision wheel.
Fire Someone... Would changing coaches make enough of a difference ? Who is available and would they want to walk into that circus right now ? It is the cheapest and easiest way to give a defibrillator charge to the Cavs.....but is it enough ?
Make a trade .... If firing the coach is not enough then a trade would be in order. The Cavs are hardly in a position of strength to trade any of their available personnel. Its always amusing to read that after running down your players as unfocused no talent lazy bums that someone would actually want them in return for real talent in a players for players transaction.
They do have that draft pick which is likely a 7 to 10 range lottery pick. Thats a high price to pay for a punchers chance at the title let alone the east....but if thats what it takes to get Lebron to stay then perhaps thats the decision.
And..even if Lebron is on board with a trade the pick for the "right" player deal at the deadline is it enough for James to exercise his player option for next season for a cool 35$M and stay... Even if he does... the cavs get to live the dream all over again next year as Lebron is slated to be a UFA at the end of the 2018-19 season. .
Do nothing..... This might be the route Gilbert takes.... Keep the pick..... Keep the coach....Keep the faith....There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

Really interested to see how the Celts hold up through the rest of the season. They go out west twice and have 9 road games in March. They are road heavy here on out and they don't have a lot of gimmes on their schedule.

Lue won't get fired unless Lebron wants that and he hasn't given any indication he does. A trade might help but, honestly, their issue is team defense. Can a trade fix that?
