Lowry is like older brother to Lucas lmao
Yeah it's hilarious, every time Bebe screw up he looks at Lowry and starts explaining himself. Lowry will usually jog over with the serious face and give him a quick teaching moment then pat him on the back

    • Watching the Portland feed last night, I could've sworn I saw a banner/sign reading, "We The Northwest".

      Everybody wants to be us.

        • Is it just me or does it seem like Lowry has better on court chemistry with Bebe than JV? Though I must say Lowry and JV have connected on some nice lobs this season and Lowry is looking for him to finish more plays on the p&r, but Bebe can go long periods without playing and doesn't skip a beat with Lowry. Hoping to see the Lowry/JV two man game blossom this season.

JV is a more talented individual player, but bebe is better as a cog, a 5th option in a 5 man unit. WHEN he's mentally locked in. Needs to work on his consistency, and these day to day bumps and bruises have to stop taking him out of action or casey forgets about him

I dunno, Lowry PNR game looks strong with either Jonas, Bebe or Yak.

                Very very bright!

Speaking of "bright," look at you GLF. Nice attitude, and congrats for sticking with it through some tough games. I bet you are enjoying the Raps more without thinking "sure they look good now, but it's all fools gold and they will crash soon."

Could just be that Lowry's good.

I don't know about chemistry but in the "old" offensive system ie last few years, JV was either entirely forgotten or treated as the 4th option when Lowry and DD only thought there were two....
We won't know about the new chemistry until JV is back for a few games but sure looked good early on.
My bet is he plays in Denver or certainly Utah since they thought he would be ready mid-road trip and there hasn't been any word of set backs. Then again the Raptor website is terrible and no other source has said anything.....

It has this year, but the timing is different with Bebe than JV. Not sure if it's just that Lowry isn't an elite passer and there is more room for error with Bebe, but everything including spacing always looks better when they play the two man game. I want to see more of that with him and JV because it could be yet another weapon with JV's ability to hit the midrange shot.

                        • We're 12th in 3PA per game at the moment but 29th in percentage at 29.9%. If anyone thinks we don't need more shooting idk what to tell you really. Yeah Lowry is bad atm, but that alone isn't going to vault us into a respectable percentage.

I haven't checked the stats, but Powell is obviously shooting below NORMal. Lowry is below normal, and I believe CJ has fallen below his career averages (small sample size). They have also told OG he can shoot at will. Even Pascal is letting loose.

I believe they are willing to suffer through the bad shooting while guys get somewhat comfortable hoisting the threes. The theory may be that the % will go up as they get used to shooting in game situations. I mean everyone has seen the videos of even JV and DD hitting 10 in a row in practice. So pretty much all of the team can shoot the three. It's getting used to it in game situations that they need to get accustomed to. Another 20-30 games and they may revoke a few of those Double 0 "licensed to thrill" cards.

JV took part in pre game warmups last night so I'm hoping he's back tomorrow.

And then we'll read about how the Raps don't play young guys when OG and Powell are nailed to the bench to accommodate a 3-pt specialist.

Shooting was a concern coming into the season and nothing much has changed but it is premature to be looking for roster changes, escpecially when pretty much every player is shooting below, or well below, career averages.
