Default Game #23: Toronto Raptors @ Memphis Grizzlies, 8:00 PM EST Dec. 8/17

    STARTING LINEUPS:

    Toronto Raptors

    Kyle Lowry

    DeMar DeRozan

    OG Anunoby

    Serge Ibaka

    Jonas Valanciunas

    Memphis Grizzlies

    Ben McLemore

    Tyreke Evans

    Dillon Brooks

    JaMychal Green

    Marc Gasol

    KEY MATCHUP:

    • The Raptors sit at the third seed on the Eastern Conference, below two surging teams in the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics. Toronto needs to keep winning and hoping that the teams above them eventually cool off if they want to move up the ladder.
    • This is the first game in a four game road trip out west for the Toronto Raptors. The last game of the trip ends with a rematch against the Phoenix Suns whom they defeated on Tuesday.
    • Dwane Casey has assured fans and the media that during the game on Friday night, Greivis Vasquez will not be guarding Tyreke Evans.

The Griz starting unit is pretty pathetic. Maybe Gasol uses the game as a sort of tryout for the Raps.

Seriously, this is not a joke. I'm starting to feel some withdrawal symptoms cuz of this new "Schedule-For-Grandpas".

It gets wild starting tomorrow. 9 games in 16 days, I think.

JV gotta prove his worth in this one. Poeltl and Ibaka will get bullied and tossed aside like flies by Gasol so he's gotta use that strength and show he deserves to start in these matchups

Gasol is actually a decent Ibaka matchup because he doesn't post much anymore, to score anyway, tends to operate as a passer out of the high post, stretches the floor with his jumper and doesn't really crash the offensive glass anymore. JV will be the first look thrown at him, but all three guys should get shots at him since he's basically a one man team now.

This 2 week with 3 games is for the birds!

I'm getting stuff done around the house, and I don't like it!

I gotta be honest, i've watched more hockey games(fuck the Leafs) this year than i can remember.

The NBA is losing me with all these dumb off days.

Agreed. I don't think I've watched this little basketball/Raptors since 2005. It's hard to build any sort of momentum, even as a fan, and all the off days make it so easy to completely lose track of them.

I've still watched every game. Basketball >>> Football >> Hockey

It will balance out.... I think the Raps have played the fewest games of any team so far (or at least no team has played fewer than the Raps). They have 5 games in 8 or 9 days coming up, so we'll get our fix.
