  • You'd think that EA sports would have been all over this. They have a complex game that could have been re-purposed for something like this... But then again, they're not really known for their innovation.

      • Rough week for the Ravens -

Flacco out with a back injury, may miss start of season and certainly the type of injury that lingers. Ryan Mallet is the back up, so maybe this opens the door for Kaepernick? Greg Roman - who was Kaepernick's OC in SF - is an assistant coach and of course the Harbaugh brotherly connection angle; could be a good flier to take.

John Urschel, who was competing for the starting C position, has retired at 26. He's a brilliant mathematician who is a candidate to get a PhD in Math - guess he didn't want to risk his brain for football.

Considering Pitta's career ending hip injury, it's been a rough time for the Ravens since the start of OTAs.

        • Yea, definitely a rough start to camp for Baltimore.

I read where Urschel said he wouldn't give up football despite all the CTE studies. I guess this new study got him to change his mind real quick... why waste a great thing? I don't blame him at all.

I think when he paid those statements before was prior to him being accepted into PhD studies. But yeah, can't blame the guy at all, brilliant man choosing brain over brawn.

Who did they add on offense this off-season? I remember the draft being a defensive fest for them.

I read a headline this week that was crazy. It said something like 99% of pros have some sort of detectable brain injury?

Nice add. KC was a bad fit for him with Mr. Checkdown. Flacco can fire it out there, he should rebound this season.

He was poised to, but a back injury could be a season long issue. Maclin is a great fit.

                            • Texas Tech coach Patrick Mahomes recently played for Kliff Kingsbury in Lubbock. Before arriving there, Kingsbury tutored Johnny Manziel at Texas A&M.

Appearing on Tuesday’s PFT Live, Kingsbury addressed Manziel’s college performances, making it clear that Manziel relied heavily on his God-given talent. Though couched in positive terms — Kingsbury said Manziel dominated the SEC with “little preparation” — the point was clear. And it’s a point that nagged at Manziel throughout his brief NFL career.

With his NFL career on hiatus at best and over at worst, Manziel should consider doing what Kingsbury did as he tried to get as much out of his abilities as possible — go to Canada and either play his way back to the NFL or confirm that it’s just not in the cards.

But like various other NFL players who washed out of the league under circumstances that leave the door open for speculation and conjecture that with a fair shake they could excel, Manziel likely prefers the perception that he could get it done in the NFL if given a chance rather than going to Canada and failing there like he failed here.

For everything Kingsbury had to say on all topics, including Mahomes, the spread offense, Texas Tech’s prospects for 2017, and more, check out the video.

The CFL won't tolerate his shit. Also, one needs to be able to throw the football even more so in the CFL. I mean Flutie and Garcia had much better arms than Manziel. Competition for a starting spot in the CFL might be the final nail in the Johnny Football coffin.

                              • Tannehill done with a torn ACL. Cutler just unretired and signed with the Dolphins on a one year $10m deal with $3m in incentives.

I wonder if they called Romo first?
