  • Top 10 Raptor Killers

I decided to make a top 10 list of the guys who always destroyed the raptors,

    10. Dwayne Wade
Wade always finds way to get to the rim and since raptors suck at perimeter D, he gets there EASy, you can book at least 25pts from Wade anytime he faces Raptorshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JTgljvxW7U

    9.Steve Nash
Raptors havent beaten the Suns since Nash has gotten there, and it has been because of Nash.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHrEEyo6Bd4

    8.Deron Williams
Like Nash, D-will makes his teammates get great shots, and the motion offense confuses the Raptors, its like theres no hope when the Raps face Jazz, and Deron is the guy I fear becauses he gets to the rim, can hit 3's and that Pick n Roll is deadly with Boozer.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2gTTxTJjDk

    7.Carmelo Anthony
Melo post up game is in effect whenever he sees Raptor wingmen, he kills us with the jumper and him getting to the line, its almost a guaranteed 30pts + http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hizD6DRtOwY

    6.Kevin Garnett
KG sets the tone of intimidation when the Celts -Raps faceoff, his defense on Bosh is genius its as if he is bullying bosh and taking him off his game mentally, KG doesnt neccessarily score to beat the Raps, he uses bullying tacticshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_4PIKwiPGY

    5.Dwight Howard
He avg 20pts 20rbs in the 08 playoffs vs. Raptors and always kills the interior D with his power and strengthhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLffD5EI_t0&feature=fvst

    4.Lebron
LBJ avgs 28pts 8asts 7rbs vs. raptors, his career high is 56pts and it was of course facing Raptors at the time, and who could forget that 24pts 4th quarter back in 08/09 when Bosh's girl was talking crap on the sidelinehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSPecsG63EU

    3.Manu ginobli
He kills with his attack with the ball, he plays the right way, and we cant stop him point blank period, this year we faced the Spurs with no Duncan and Parker, yet we stilll came up short, simply because of Manu

    2.Vince Quitter Carter
VC has hit many shots for the Raps but vs. Raptors he does damage, he sent us fishing back in 06 playoffs, and has hit heartbreaking gamewinners in the ACC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsF4b7V_e0c

    1.Kobe Bryant
Its only right the man just won his 5th ring, he hit a GW vs. Raptors, oh and i forgot he scored 81 fuckin pts on none other than the Raptors, enough said just watch

      Pretty good list.

I'd add the top team Raptor Killer as the Boston Celtics. We played them like 4 times this year and couldn't get one W even when the big 3 were missing and it was only Rondo holding the fort.

Future Raptor killers will be Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and possibly Chris Bosh

I think these guys pretty much kill every team they play against.

Youd probably want to point out players who usually break out when they play only the Raps. JJ Redick is a good example. Jrue Holiday is also another one.

Most of the time, the Raptors are slump-killers. Players who are usually in a runt get out of their funk when they play the raptors. I specially hate it when you read on NBA.com something like this "the Celtics look to end their losing streak tonight against the Raptors, for Allen, playing the Raptors may just be what the doctor ordered". yikes.

eh...a shorter list would be "who DOESN'T kill the Raps?"

Yeah, I'm not sure about this list. Other than vince you've pretty much listed the best players in the league. Also, dwayne wade? According to my recollection, the Raptors have pretty much owned the Heat the past couple of years. And the raptors - other than the 81 point blight - are generally a threat to take down the lakers on any given night. They beat split the games this year, only losing the second game at the buzzer. A better list might be something like (admittedly this list only covers the past few years, mostly):

                    Carter
                    Reddick
                    Garnett
                    Nash
                    Tayshaun Prince
                    Ray Allen
                    Ginobli
                    Lebron James
                    Jamal Crawford
                    Turkoglu...(inside job)

you can't base it on 1 year holiday is a rookie that's stupid.

btw, lbj scored 60 at msg. that's his career high.

Every player is a raptor killer, our defense is just that bad. Steph Curry will be one of the top ones though.
