  • Suns Reportedly Offering Amare 4 Yrs/$82.5 Million

He'd be crazy not to take this.

According to Gambo and Ash, the offer is 4 years , begining with the 17.7 of the next year, with increases of 10.5 %.

Resume - 82.7 millions over 4 years, is an extension ala Gasol but with a little more money.

    2010-11 - 17.7 m
    2011-12 - 19.55 m
    2012-13 - 21.6 m
    2013-14 - 23.85 m

They better pay the man. This is a team that just made the Eastern Conference finals and Stoudemire was an integral part of that. Nash only has a couple years left and this is the time for the Suns to maybe win a title. They just need to get some Defense in the Center Position and they'll be ready to go.

Read Amare's lips: "Amare wants a max contract; and Amare will get a max contract!"

This offer by Suns is max money but it isn't a max contract.

I'm guessing he'll probably take a 5 yr offer from another team.

And it's funny to read more of that thread. Lots of discussion about the Suns signing Dirk to play with Nash. Raptors fans aren't the only delusional ones, I'm relieved.

Signing a five year maximum contract would be worth $100 million.

That is a better offer than what the Suns are reportedly offering.

He should wait until July 1st at least to see other offers.
