Young Gunz is good. I also think its appropriate for them to have a nickname.
We need to have an identity of some type. Its not like our roster is weighted down with superstars.

How about, "Dash Brotherz". D.A.S.H means DeMar Amir Sonny Hype. It's corny, hate me for trying.Last edited by Balls of Steel; Fri Aug 13, 2010, 01:56 PM.“The saving of our world from pending doom will come, not through the complacent adjustment of the conforming majority, but through the creative maladjustment of a nonconforming minority.” - Martin Luther King

Folks have no idea yet talking like they do- get a clue.lol
Maybe it's just me but I feel Raptors fans give out too many nicknames. Maybe I have an old school outlook on it but I feel you should earn a nickname and it should be coming from somebody higher on the totem pole than the guy who escorts them to the bus or supervises people who escorts them to the bus.

I like the "Young Gunz" moniker and I think it gives them something to live up to for the franchise and the fans. The "z" on the end gives it a cool twist, now they better not make us all zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz this season watching.

The guy who escorts them to the bus or supervises people who escorts them to the bus- as you so eloquently put it- is also considered a friend by the YG'z. Anyone who follows the Raptor's should know the story as it was documented on a RapsTV segment concerning the origin of the Young Gunz nickname str8 from the YG'z & Mr Richardson's mouths.
That being said to each their own........

I'm not trying to dictate anything to anyone. What I'm saying is that I think it's silly that we feel compelled to place nicknames on everything. I think the "Young Gunz" nickname at this point in the game is on par with the silliness of the "banger bros". Those kids haven't proved a thing yet and here we are giving them nicknames, which in my opinion typically goes to guys who have done something and serves as a badge of honor.

Apollo wrote: View PostHow about "The Sense Of Entitlements"? Seriously, don't players typically have to earn nicknames? Its pretty sad in itself that they had to create their own current nickname. I'm pretty sure it's clearly stated in the nickname handbook and guidelines that it's douche baggery to invent your own nickname. I've let it slide until now but this thread, I don't know, it's time to let it alllllll out!
who?
exactly. people don't even know who they are and that comes form raptors fans.If Your Uncle Jack Helped You Off An Elephant, Would You Help Your Uncle Jack Off An Elephant?

Yeah and on a good team Amir and Sonny would be at the end of the rotation... No wait, on a good team Sonny may not even be playing because he probably wouldn't have even gotten a chance last year. DeMar, who I am very high on, doesn't even deserve a nickname yet (in my honest opinion which I am not forcing on anyone) and he is hands down more athletically gifted and talented than the other two.
