Memphis Grizzlies writers have mentioned more than once that Mayo may be available. Though unless the Raptors are willing to play DeRozan at the #3 or try Mayo at the #1, I don't think that they would go after him. Mayo can play some point. Whether he would ever be good enough dishing out Dimes without turning the ball over too much is the question.
I am one of the biggest Mayo homers out there, so if that was feasible the raptors would have thier franchise 2 guard for years to come. I think Derozan will be able to play the 3 once he bulks up, but I would have serious questions about Mayo's wanting to play in Toronto long term. He did go to USC without them even recruiting them. On paper I would trade Derozan for Mayo, but I am confident Derozan will sign here long term so in reality I would hold off. With them drafting Henry, I actually think Mayo could be had for a lot less, maybe Jack and Weems?

For the guy who said Randolph and Bargs would compliment nicely I don't think you have watched either of them play too much. Randolph is awful defensively, has a negative basketball IQ and hates to pass. Sounds like a franchise player of yesteryear.

i think he was explaining to the other guy about zebo and then was talking about gasol and bargnani complimetning each other so he wouldn't want to trade bargnani for gasol as i believe buddahfan suggsted.

And what good would Marc Gasol have on the Raps. I think the the Raps are set on their bigs. Yes they're not the best, but if we just add another big without getting rid of one, it would just cause a log jam.

i dont see it happening, but it would give us a centre who can rebound and alter shots.

            jose and gasol reunite?

I say send jose to memphis to reunite there. We dont need gasol, were good there already and we dont need jose. We need young legs with a young gun style to compliment, DD, Weems, Amir and Davis

Man I wish we can trade Calderon for Gasol! That would be ideal.

I can't believe no one else finds it funny that Jose Calderon is now considered our recruitment specialist after a year where he's been completely thrown under the bus by the media in Toronto for a lot of the underachieving over the past two seasons, routinely called the worst defender in the league BY HIS OWN FANS, and has been basically traded TWICE this offseason by BC before them being yanked at the last minute.

Everyone assumes this guy is going to be trying to bring players to Toronto? He'snprobably as anxious for a trade right now as the rest of us are.

All I'm saying putting our eggs in the Calderon Recruitment Basket could end in a lot of disappointment for everyone.
