Duke's Kyrie Irving could miss the rest of the season with a right toe injury suffered in the second half of Saturday's win against Butler.

Irving, an early candidate for freshman of the year, didn't break a bone but the injury involves ligaments.

"Kyrie's injury is a serious one," coach Mike Krzyzewski said after Duke beat Bradley on Wednesday night. "

Duke will not rush Irving back from injury, according to a source.

Irving is widely considered a future top-five NBA pick.

This could be one of the Raptor picks. Would they still go after him if he is out for the season? Or would they pass on him for something else!

Bad break for Irving and Duke. I am sure his agent or whoever will be having workouts/combine appearances for all to see. The only issue will be his toe (dtermined from public workouts) and to some extent how he would perform in March madness pressure. If he is the best available when the Raps pick (?)...yes.

Hard cast for Kyrie to immobilize the foot. Not looking good for the next few weeks, minimum.
