  • What The Hell Happened To Stojakovic?

he's been out for like 20 games with a swollen knee, drain the son of a gun and let's get a move on.

honestl,y he was good when he was on the court but, i'm growing a little impatient.

if he doesn't want to play here and still wants to get paid the entire of his salary. He needs to be on the court where potential suitors can watch him.

honestly, he's starting to become turkoglu 2.0

this is all i've found on it

Peja Stojakovic was in New Orleans on Sunday, getting a second opinion on his ailing knee.
An MRI revealed no structural damage but his knee is still swollen and Peja is quite reasonably concerned. Beat writer Doug Smith adds that "there is no buyout in the works" as the Raptors continue to explore potential trades. Dec. 20 - 10:40 am et

This has nothing to do with the knee. One needs to just see/hear Triano answer the question about it. It's business and I believe has the full blessing of BC. He apparently promised PS either a trade or buyout in return for him leaving money on the table (if he didnt agree with how he was going to be used) prior to the trade. My only problem is why the bs about the knee that keeps getting mentioned as well as the complicit disinterest by the local media in not actually reporting the "real" story.

I don't think there are any conspiracies here. Doug Smith said that he could see that Peja's knee is swollen and he needs treatment. He also said that BC doesn't want to buy him out because they want to trade him before the deadline and therefore would like him to play if only to prove that he still can. If they can't trade him then he doesn't know what will happen. I can't see any reason to not believe this.

But it really pisses me off as well. For instance, with half the freakin team injured, it would be nice to have him to relieve some playing time off the other guys.

Smith is not someone I particularly trust to write anything not conforming with the program. Nothing in that report says he actually "saw" the knee except that it is swollen. Well, Triano already keeps telling us the same thing. It would have been more believable if DS got a quote from Peja himself on his condition. And we dont exactly have no knee specialists here. NO is where his family is and having some time with them at Christmas is a good thing. I just have an odd feeling about this is all.

Peja is an expiring contract. Who cares if we don't trade him? That's 15million of the cap next season. He'll turn into a prize free agent. I don't see why we should trade him in the first place. We're not going to get anything good for him anyways.

That Peja's knee is swollen is well known and obvious to everyone who has seen him - there is nothing going on here.

RaptorsDevlin: Peja is set to return to Toronto tomorrow to continue rehabbing his knee. He has been in New Orleans. http://bit.ly/dNrf0q

Will probably be in the lineup soon
