New York gets back up PG they covet.

Memphis gets maturity and PG/SG combo off the bench plus increased financial flexibility next season (save about $3M off payroll). One young project for another at C but cheaper.

Minnesota gets the 2 guard they lack, mature PG to keep the young players together who acts as a mentor to Rubio, a player they covet in Randolph, and more depth at 2 guard which they don't have.

Toronto gets major financial flexibility, more youth, and one of MIN's draft picks (Utah's or Memphis'). The danger becomes that of Sacramento without enough veteren players but if they are all character players, which they appear to be, it might not be an issue. Flynn has potential although he has struggled coming back from injury. Brewer would be a great wing off the bench and would be a nice change of pace from DD as he is a defensive specialist and has the ability to knock down the 3 - although he is struggling this year. Toronto would also have the right to match any offer he gets. Thabeet is a total gamble but if he can show any glimpses of his UCONN days (14/11/4blk) it would be a nice reward. Regardless of what he has (or has not done) in the NBA he is still 7'3", athletic, and 23. A change of scenery and expectations might do him good as it obviously isn't working for him in MEM.

Toronto's payroll for next season is around $37M with 3 1st round draft picks.

I would only do this trade if we'd end up with mayo instead of thabeet, though I love the addition of Flynn.
