DeRozan had his best week of the season to date, leading the Raptors in scoring in all four games while guiding Toronto to a 4-0 record. Although he’s shooting more 3s and looking to facilitate more than he ever has, DeRozan’s meat and potatoes will always be his penchant for taking -- and making -- contested 2s. Nobody made more total field goals last week than DeRozan. He hit 43, and 36 of those were contested, according to Second Spectrum. On the season, DeRozan has made (101) and taken (213) more contested 2s in the half court than any player in the league.

DeMar DeRozan scored 33 points to lead the Raptors to a 100–91 victory over the Wizards. DeRozan was a one-man show for Toronto; no other Raptors player scored more than 12 points. But that’s nothing new. This was the eighth game in calendar year 2017 in which DeRozan outscored every teammate by more than 20 points. The only other players to do that as often as DmDr this year are Russell Westbrook and James Harden (14 each).

Demar has come such a long way but is continually held to a really unfair standard and when he meets them, it's just a shrug.... "let's see if he can keep this up for the rest of his career."

DDR's career has been incredible. To early to say anything definitively, but it looks like he should have another great season. The only thing that has really put me off this year is his quote something along the lines of, "I don't shoot threes, but that doesn't mean I can't." Like dude, I've watched you brick enough threes to know thats not your game. Its not even to criticize him for not being a shooter, its just the quote that I have seen a couple times that bothers me.
