  • ESPN Podcast: Lots of Bosh Talk

Courtesy of Bill Simmons and Chad Ford who apparently touch on Chris Bosh and his status with the Raptors leading into next season.

I haven't listened to it because of firewalls here at work, but for those that do would your mind sharing a little summary with the ones here that can't listen right now? Please and thank you.

Just a quick summary...the boys are just about sure Bosh is going to leave. That said they are both in agreement that Bynum for Bosh is the best deal benefiting both teams and that BC should seriously consider this because he is not going to get as much value in a sign & trade. If this comes to pass it will put a damper on the rest of the biggie f/a moves because Bosh was the missing link for the others. And it would be a foregone conclusion that Bosh would reup in LA with all the plusses there yada yada (including the weather!).
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The one aspect all these pundits dont bring up is that Toronto currently holds the hammer on Bosh getting absolute max. money/years if we hold on to him till after the season. If he just walks he leaves a lot of moola on the table...and these guys dont mention this at all.

The rest is about other team trade possibilities. And....Bosh definitely leaving including the possibility of LBJ, Bosh and Wade all in Miami....apparently this was heard from other members of the Olympic team...and they would take less money...but somewhat skeptical.

    And more chaff.

The Raptor do have his Larry Bird rights but really when you think about it if Bosh forces their hand what is Colangelo going to do, let him walk leaving the Raptors empty handed? No way. Colangelo can work something in the off season but his leverage will be reduced because as of right now its still not a foregone conclusion that Bosh is leaving town.

we need to trade calderon + extra expiring or hedo+ extra expiring for big piece like jefferson or something like that
        hedo + jose for granger
        wild trades
