Rubio appears to have Steve Nash like court vision. It;s like their brain has the ability to visulize the fast pace of the NBA but be able to process and make the right pass or action in real time.

As for Jimmer he is a winner and he may surprise a few people. However before too long around he may find himself struggeling to get his shot off. The question is will have the IQ to make adjustments? Only tme will tell.
that's a possibility, but he's got such range on his shot, it puts defenses in awkward situations. as a defense, you don't want to have to defend a guy 30-ft from the hoop all the time, it screws up rotations & help assignments. because jimmer is a threat from that distance, you have to honour the shot & play him tight pretty much from half-court & in...which should lead to easier pentration for 'reke, easier post-ups for cousins, and easier PnR's in general (when he - jimmer - is off the ball). then, when defenses are forced to adjust & pack it in, you've got him out there to make them pay. they could also set up some nice PnR action with him as the ball-handler...if his man goes under the screen, he pops the 3, if he goes over (and the pickers man chases jimmer), the picker can slip the screen & cut hard.

also - he's a better athlete than he's given credit for, and gets a significant amount of lift on his jumper...meaning he'll more than likely be able to get his shot off even when being guarded fairly tightly.

that being said...i have no idea what his impact will be. i assume he'll have a decent & lengthy career, but beyond that???
TRUE LOVE - Sometimes you know it the instant you see it across the bar.

Rubio is far more physically gifted than Calderon. He's going to be a plus defender and he's going to be excellent in transition. He also is a much, much better playmaker than Calderon. Rubio can break down guys one on one and create for himself and others. To me, they aren't similar players at all.

Is he a franchise guy? No, but that is reserved for trult great PGs. His shot is awful but that be repaired and Rondo did okay without being able to a 10-footer for a couple years.

Would I rather have Kabongo than Rubio? Too soon to tell but Kabongo isn't Steve Nash or Isiah Thomas and since it's highly, highly unlikely either one ends up in Toronto, it's a moot point.

Jimmer is going to be very inconsistent if he is not coached properly. He could be an amazing role player if he just took better shots. I mean, it is nice to see the standard "JIMMMEERRRR!" three 29 feet away from the net, but if he wants to work in a system, he is gonna have to just play a little smarter. The kid has swagger though. He could be a legitimate starter/sixthman on a decent team if he is coached well.

As for Ricky. His shot will improve. To all those who are claiming that he has a terrible shot, you forget about the Spanish work ethic when it comes to shooting. He will get better over time. He has one thing that makes him so unique, vision. That is a thing that we see a player have once in a blue moon. The kid has that X-factor that makes him so good. He could be the next J will.

That is awesome to see. Fans in Minnesota are loving it too. I'm glad for them. God knows Wolves fans need something to cheer about.

It is amazing to see how different the TWolves seemed last night. Of course it is only 1 games, but there is a definite buzz and change in culture

                          12 points (4-7FG 2-3FT 2-2 3PT), 6 rebounds, 12 assists, 1 steal and 5 TOs against Heat.

Do you guys think he could win the ROTY?

According to this ESPN Truehoop report Rubio made NBA history on Wednesday.

Ricky Rubio had a rare night Wednesday in NBA statistical terms. Rubio posted nine points, eight assists, seven rebounds and six steals in a win over the Detroit Pistons.

Elias says that Rubio is the first player in NBA history with at least nine points, eight assists, seven rebounds and six steals in a game without reaching 10 in any of those categories.

The most appropriate way to put it? Rubio had the best quadruple-single in NBA history.

That assist with Williams trailing was amazing (2:25). No look fast break pass was pretty nice also (1:53).

Man I wish we had Rubio. His court vision is so good. Stuck with tunnel vision Bayless.

#8 play was amazing (38 sec).
