It's a miracle we have 4 wins with only 3 active players above 15 in PER. Our management should be sacked for cheating into people into thinking youth movement is our hope for the future. Our youth is tragically talentless: DD has no skills, Davis has no motor, JJ has been traded by the Bulls after 2 years of evaluation, Bayless the same as JJ but being traded by 2 teams instead of 1. Val does offer real promise however one never knows.
I give BC props for sticking with Andrea. I hated his attempt to trade Jose and leaving no playmakers in the team. I applaud him for signing Amir to a long contract. Most of all, signing Casey has really been a smart move. People are voting though with their money: ACC is unusually empty. They don't seem to buy what the management is selling.



I hate seeing this stuff. These types of fans were at Bargs throat for the past few years and now are turning on Demar. Anyone who is a raptor deserves support, in my opinion, if you are a raptors fan. If Demar throws up 100 shots that all miss but are within the flow of the game. Then this year, which is a learning year, he can do that. practicing in the gym and hitting shots is different then game situations. This is the year to lose and practice so that in future years he makes those shots.


Finally with the people talking about James Johnson. I feel that DC has him pegged as bench player. So why even start him. One thing DC said this week was "the mentality of.yay we're in the nba, thats cool. has to go".(paraphrasing) These guys are all professional basketball players who are being taught to look at it like professionals. So best for the team is that JJ learns to be on the second unit and how to play there.

I'll keep this short.

Fair weather fans do suck. Over several years I have noticed that Dino fans do tend to be very up and down. Too high after a win. Too low after a loss. What make us the best fans in the NBA-our extreme passion for our team-can also be a bit of a flaw. It can be difficult being a Raps fan though ya know? We just want to see our team WIN and legitimately compete. Just keep supporting the team bud and ignore the other bullshit.

I agree with some of this. There is a large group of fans who feel it's the end of the world after a loss and that ESPN should be licking their boots after a win. It is what it is and won't change anytime soon for numerous reasons. Maybe if they cheered for a team who gave them a consistent, quality product they wouldn't be so insecure? It doesn't help when the cities' other two major pro teams have been mediocre for decades as well.

Sick of the bad and desperate for something good. The result seems only natural. I don't watch baseball, I don't cheer for the Leafs and I've been a Packers fan my whole life. I'm immune to it personally but I get it.

The Raps have fair weather fans?

I've watched every year from the beginning, rarely miss a game. I don't support the name on the back, just the one on the front of the Jersey: TORONTO. If someone is making a mockery of said jersey IMO I'm a rip him. I've sat through too much shit to support stiffs, ball hogs, malcontents and 10 dayers. The idea of blindly supporting players because they get checks from MLSE is just stupid. You could trade every man on this roster to siberia and as long as we come out winning playoff series and challenging for the chip I couldn't care less.

rip people that dont play well. they deserve it. we are raps fans. but to say derozan is garbage and there are no players on this team besides bargs, who has all of 10 consistent effort games in a row.

in bargs defense... who else on the roster has EVER had 10 consistent effort games in a row? maybe Barbosa and Jose... that's about it

im not on the dero hate train though... kids young... he has some growing up to do.. i'll wait until he mcgradies his potential before im willing to put him down

in the 4th demar started scoring. He needs to build that confidence and start doing that from the start. Attack the basket and play inside out. Imagine the damage he can do. Drive a couple times score or get fouled, then after a few times of that float out to the perimeter and drain a 3 and repeat that.

In order to find fair weather fans I believe the weather needs to be, at some point, fair... The people who call themselves fans of this group (I'm one of them) are here through some pretty crappy weather. I'll vent about how bleak the play of some of these players is online because it's true.. And I know tomorrow I'll have to spend an entire day at work trying to defend them from relentless Leafs fans.
Sometimes guys just need to come on here where the real fans are and collectively agree, "This team we love.. It really sucks right now"

you don't think amir belongs in that conversation? the results aren't always there, but i think you'd have to press to find games in which his effort was sub-par.

The fact that you have to defend this team to fellow Torontonians bothers the hell outta me. I doubt Bostonians have arguments about which of the Bruins or Celtics are the better team. Sure, they're both winning teams, but that's besides the point. Torontonians should [ideally] embrace all of Toronto's sports teams simply based on geographic loyalty. At least, that's how I see it.

And this isn't even taking into account the last 7 years of Maple Leafs futility. Do Leaf fans really have anything to hold over the heads of Raptors fans? Leaf Nation's sense of entitlement is often nauseating.

amir hasn't disappointed at all... i've been very impressed with him... but he has not had a string of consistency like bargs has right now... amir has had a couple subpar games for sure... mostly due to limited minutes, i think though..
